The Akro-Mils 30158 is a plastic hopper front shelf bin measuring 17-7/8" long x 8-3/8" wide x 4" high on the outside, with an inside volume of 214 cubic inches. It is sold in cartons of 12 in red, yellow, blue, green or clear, one color per carton.

A hopper front bin has a sloped, open front, so you can see and reach the parts without lifting the bin off the shelf. The 30158 is the mid-length version of the 8-3/8" wide 4" bin. It has the same width and height as the 30150 (11-5/8" long, 138 cubic inches) but is longer and holds about 55% more. It is also wider than the 30138 (6-5/8" wide, 176 cubic inches) at the same length. It is molded in one piece from industrial-grade polymer, is waterproof, is unaffected by grease or oil, and works in temperatures down to -20 F.

At 17-7/8" long, the 30158 is sized for 18" deep shelving. It fits standard wire and steel shelving, and it also works on pick racks and bench racks. Width dividers (model 40150) are sold separately, and each bin takes up to 7 of them to split the bin into smaller compartments. Bin cups, which lift out for transport, are also available. Color coding lets you separate parts by type, department or stock level.
