Choosing the Right Cabinet Width:
All R-Series cabinets carry 400 lbs per drawer. Width determines how much horizontal storage you get per unit and how many drawers you can configure per cabinet.
♦ 24" Wide, compact footprint for tight spaces, individual workstations, or limited floor space, best for smaller tooling and hand tools.
♦ 30" Wide, mid-size option balancing storage capacity with a manageable footprint, suited to most general tool room and maintenance applications.
♦ 36" Wide, one of the most commonly specified widths, provides enough drawer width for larger tooling, gauges, and mixed-size parts without excessive floor space.
♦ 48" Wide, high-volume storage for larger inventories or wider tooling, available in single and multi-drawer configurations.
♦ 54" Wide, wider format for long tooling, production fixtures, or large component sets, available in single and multi-drawer configurations.
♦ 60" Wide, maximum width in the R-Series line, best for high-density storage, large tool cribs, or the greatest drawer capacity per unit.

Single Drawer vs. Multi-Drawer Cabinets:
Standard R-Series cabinets have a single column of drawers. Multi-drawer cabinets, available in 48", 54", and 60" widths, feature two columns of drawers side by side within the same cabinet frame, the right choice when tooling needs to be segregated by department, machine, or operator without installing multiple separate cabinets.
Selecting the Right Model:
♦ Width: Choose from 24" up to 60" based on available floor space and the size of items being stored.
♦ Configuration: Choose Single Drawer for a compact footprint, or Multi-Drawer to segregate storage categories within one unit.
♦ Top surface: Choose Butcher Block or Steel with a Rubber Mat for general bench work, or Stainless Steel for sanitary or food-grade requirements.
Where Commonly Used:
Rousseau R-Series cabinets are used in tool rooms and maintenance departments for tooling, machine components, and hardware storage, on manufacturing floors and production support areas for dies and heavy replacement parts, and at individual workstations where compact widths fit tight floor space.
