The Buckhorn Intrepid is a food-grade, reusable bulk container made from FDA-approved materials for food processing, distribution, and industrial packaging environments. It is sized as a direct replacement for standard 48"x40"x46" corrugated combo bins, allowing operations to switch to a sanitary, durable, reusable container without changing existing handling processes or equipment.

Corrugated combo bins are prone to leaks, structural failure under load, and contamination risk, all genuine concerns in food processing and distribution. The Intrepid eliminates these risks with rigid plastic construction and a stable base that prevents pallet shifting during transport. The collapsible design folds flat for a reduced storage footprint and lower freight costs on return shipments, supporting both cost control and sustainability goals.

Two container configurations are available at the same external size, differing in capacity based on steel insert configuration. A matching lid is available separately.

♦ BZ484046T001300, 48.1"L x 40.1"W x 45.9"H. Capacity 2,500 lbs. With steel inserts. FDA-approved food-grade material. Direct replacement for standard 48x40x46 corrugated combo bins.

♦ BZ48404600YC300, 48.1"L x 40.1"W x 45.9"H. Capacity 2,000 lbs. No steel insert. Same external size and food-grade material as the steel-insert model, but at a lower capacity and price.

♦ Optional accessory: TZ48400200 container lid, sized to fit both BZ-Series models. Sold separately.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Steel inserts and capacity: the steel insert model (BZ484046T001300) is rated 2,500 lb; the model without inserts (BZ48404600YC300) is rated 2,000 lb. Both share identical external dimensions and are made of food-grade material. Select the steel insert model when load weight requires a higher capacity rating; select the standard model for lighter loads at a lower price point.

♦ Combo bin replacement: the 48.1"x40.1"x45.9" external size matches standard corrugated combo bins, allowing this container to be substituted into existing handling, racking, and transport processes without requiring layout or equipment changes.

♦ FDA-approved material: both models use FDA-approved food-grade plastic suitable for direct or indirect food contact applications. This makes the Intrepid appropriate for food processing and distribution environments where standard industrial-grade plastic would not meet food safety requirements.

♦ Container lid, the TZ48400200 lid fits both BZ-Series models and is recommended for applications requiring closed-top outdoor storage, dust protection, or stacking configurations where contents must remain covered.
