Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is the Rousseau 60" R-Series modular drawer cart?
The 60" R-Series cart is the widest mobile format in the R-Series lineup, built for operations where the 48" cart is still too narrow for the tools, fixtures, or kits that need to move together. It carries 400 pounds per drawer on 6" polyurethane casters rated at 900 pounds each. CustomMHS is an authorized Rousseau distributor, and all purchases include the manufacturer's factory warranty.
Why does this series have fewer models than the narrower carts?
All 20 models share a single cart height of 37-1/2", two depths, and a focused set of drawer configurations. That reflects how the format gets used: operations needing 60" of drawer width typically know what they need, so the lineup covers the most practical layouts rather than offering the configuration variety found in the 30", 36", and 48" series.
What is the difference between the 24" and 27" depths?
The 24" depth, prefix R5BKE, keeps the footprint slightly shorter for positions where aisle width or side clearance is a constraint. The 27" depth, prefix R5BKG, adds drawer interior for longer tools and items that benefit from more front-to-back space. Both depths offer identical drawer configurations throughout the lineup, so depth is an independent choice from layout.
What drawer configurations are available?
Three five-drawer options and one six-drawer option. The five-drawer layouts are one each from 3" to 8", two 4" over three 6", and three 4" over one 6" over one 8". The six-drawer layout is two 3" over three 4" over one 8", which concentrates shallow positions for inserts and small tools while keeping one deep base drawer.
What do the drawer and door combination models offer?
The R5BKE-3013/3014 and R5BKG-3013/3014 place one 6" drawer above an enclosed door section in the full 60" width. That suits operations where the working set is primarily oversized items needing enclosed access, with one organized drawer position for smaller tools or documents in the same footprint.
How does the 60" cart help your facility?
Width is the entire reason for this format, and it matters when items exceed what a 48" drawer holds flat. Wide fixture plates, large assembly jigs, and oversized tooling stay organized in one cart rather than requiring separate handling equipment or being split across two units. In die shop and press support, the cart accommodates die widths that exceed the 48" mobile format. In large vehicle and fleet maintenance, oversized specialty tools and alignment equipment reach the service position in a single cart rather than in multiple trips.
