The Cotterman 50° Slope Walk-Down Ladder with Expanded Metal Tread Steps is built for facilities that need frequent elevated access with a safer descent and warehouse-ready traction. The 50° walk-down slope supports easy forward ascent and forward-facing “walk-down” descent, which is more comfortable and controlled than steeper ladder angles—especially for picking, replenishment, and maintenance routines.
For footing, Cotterman’s expanded metal treads deliver strong slip resistance and a self-cleaning design that lets dirt and debris fall through instead of collecting on the step surface. That makes this configuration a natural fit for warehouses and industrial aisles where dust and debris are part of daily reality.
With a 450 lb capacity, this ladder is designed for real workload demands. Stability is matched to ladder height: 3–4 step models use retractable 2" spring-loaded casters, while 5-step and above models use Cotterman’s 4" Safelock caster system for enhanced lock-in-place safety. The standard finish is gray, with a wide range of optional colors available for facility standards or safety color-coding.
