WireCrafters Pallet Rack Enclosures

WireCrafters Pallet Rack Enclosures

WireCrafters Pallet Rack Enclosures

Secure inventory and the contents of existing pallet racks while preventing inventory shrinkage with WireCrafters Pallet Rack Enclosures. Security officers and loss prevention specialists prefer WireCrafters Style 840 Partitions for securing valuable items in bulk storage or on pallet racks. You can fully enclose existing facility pallet racks with standard wire mesh panels and doors to secure and control high-value inventory. Modular wire mesh panels are quick to install and inherently stronger than competing pallet rack enclosure systems.

WireCrafters panels and doors are made from 10-gauge wire welded into a 2" x 2" square mesh, then welded to a 13-gauge rolled-formed angle frame. End panels attach to the pallet rack end with flush-mount angle clips or with a flat frame and self-tapping screws to separate multiple bays. Back panels attach directly to the rack with angle clips. WireCrafters stocks three mounting clips, with offsets from flush-mount up to 6", allowing pallet loads to overhang while maintaining inventory security and worker safety. Offset clips up to 12" long let you mount panels between back-to-back rows of pallet racks, securing two rows at once.

Selection Guide:

♦ 96" beam width (8' wide): available in 8', 10', or 12' high, each with 3', 3'-6", or 4' upright depth
♦ 108" beam width (9' wide): available in 8', 10', or 12' high, each with 3', 3'-6", or 4' upright depth
♦ 120" beam width (10' wide): available in 8', 10', or 12' high, each with 3', 3'-6", or 4' upright depth

Model numbers follow the pattern RE[width][height][depth] (for example, RE8836 is 8' wide x 8' high x 3'-6" deep).

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Beam width: match the enclosure width to your existing pallet rack beam width, 96", 108", or 120".
♦ Height: choose 8', 10', or 12' to match your rack height and enclosure needs.
♦ Upright depth: choose 3', 3'-6", or 4' to match your rack's upright depth, and consider offset mounting clips if pallet loads overhang.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ High-Value Inventory Storage: enclosures secure valuable items directly on existing pallet racks.
♦ Loss Prevention Applications: Security officers use enclosed racks to prevent inventory shrinkage.
♦ Back-to-Back Rack Rows: longer offset clips allow one enclosure wall to secure two rows simultaneously.
♦ Distribution Centers and Warehouses: Modular panels install quickly on existing rack infrastructure.

Don’t see exactly what you need?

First, match the enclosure to your existing beam width and upright depth, then choose the clip offset, since pallet loads that overhang need the panel to stand off the rack rather than sit flush.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a pallet rack enclosure?

A pallet rack enclosure is a wire mesh panel system that encloses the ends and back of existing pallet rack bays, turning racking you already own into secure storage. Panels are built from 10-gauge wire welded into a 2" x 2" square mesh, then welded into a 13-gauge roll-formed angle frame. CustomMHS carries the full line of WireCrafters pallet rack enclosures, backed by the manufacturer's warranty.

How do panels attach to existing racking?

End panels attach to the pallet rack end with flush-mount angle clips, or with a flat frame and self-tapping screws when separating multiple bays. Back panels attach directly to the rack with angle clips. WireCrafters stocks three mounting clips offering offsets from flush-mount up to 6", so panels sit far enough off the rack to let pallet loads overhang without contacting the mesh.

How do rack enclosures help your facility?

The direct gain is securing high-value inventory without building a separate caged room or relocating the product, since the enclosure works with the rack already in place. That keeps inventory in its existing pick location rather than adding a trip to a secure area. Modular panels install quickly on existing rack infrastructure, so a facility can enclose specific bays as needs change rather than committing to a fixed layout. And because panels match your beam width, the enclosure fits the rack you have rather than requiring rack modifications to accommodate the security system.
