WireCrafters Super Strong Style 840 Wire Partitions | 10ga Woven Wire Panels

WireCrafters Super Strong Style 840 Woven Wire Fencing

WireCrafters Super Strong Style 840 Wire Partitions - 10ga Woven Wire Panels

The WireCrafters Super Strong Style 840 Wire Partition System is built for facilities that need absolute security without sacrificing visibility, flexibility, or installation speed. These panels are engineered for strength: 10-gauge woven wire in a 2" x 1" rectangular mesh, welded into a heavy hot-rolled angle frame, with stiffener bars added to larger panels for extra rigidity. Panels bolt directly to 2" square, 14-gauge steel tube posts using 3/8" hardware, then anchor to the floor with a welded base plate and provided anchors to create a robust, rigid partition line.

WireCrafters' inside-only hardware design further increases security. With fasteners accessible only from inside the cage, the system is substantially harder to tamper with from the outside, exactly what you want when protecting valuable inventory, equipment, tools, and controlled items.

WireCrafters manufactures 20 stock wire partition panels, ranging from 1 foot wide to 10 feet wide in 1-foot increments. Panels are 4 or 5 feet high and stack one on top of the other to build a tool crib 8, 10, or 12 feet tall, with hinged or sliding door options in stock for 48-hour shipping. Security cages can also be equipped with ceilings, and ceiling and wall panels can be interchanged. We can design tool cribs and security cages in custom sizes and configurations.

Configuration Options Available:

♦ 1-Wall Configuration, designed to fit between 2 existing walls. Useful for securing aisles and rows of pallet racks.
♦ 2-Wall Configuration, designed to fit in a corner using two existing walls or stand as a free-standing unit.
♦ 3-Wall Configuration, designed to fit against existing walls or installed as a free-standing unit.
♦ 4-Wall Configuration, a fully enclosed unit, is available with or without a ceiling.

All configurations are available in 8'-5-1/4", 10'-5-1/4", or 12'-5-1/4" heights, with hinged, double-hinged, sliding, or vertical-rise doors.

When to Use 2" x 1" Woven Wire Over 2" x 2" Welded Wire.

Both mesh types stop casual access, but they fail differently and protect against different threats. The first question is whether the barrier is providing security or separation.

Woven mesh interlocks at every crossing rather than fusing. Cutting one strand doesn't open a hole because the surrounding weave still holds the pattern in place. Welded mesh relies on the weld at each intersection, so breaking a few welds can open a gap faster. The 2" x 1" opening also matters as much as the wire itself. A 1-inch dimension blocks a hand and forearm, preventing access to a latch, a lock, or inventory sitting just inside the line. A 2" x 2" opening does not.

Choose 2" x 1" woven wire when:

♦ The enclosure holds high-value, portable, or controlled items such as tools, electronics, precious metals, ammunition, or regulated inventory.
♦ Reach-through is a realistic risk, meaning stock is stored close to the fence line, or the lock is within arm's reach of the outside.
♦ Internal theft is the concern being solved, not just keeping honest people out.
♦ An auditor, insurance carrier, customer contract, or regulatory requirement specifies a security-rated enclosure.
♦ The cage sits in a forklift or cart traffic lane, where impact will eventually hit the panels.
♦ The build is a full-height tool crib at 8, 10, or 12 feet, or includes a ceiling.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Tool Cribs and Maintenance Cages: secure enclosures that control access to tools and equipment.
♦ Warehouse and Manufacturing Storage Areas: wire partitions build free-standing, multi-use storage cages.
♦ Inventory Control Areas: secure enclosures that restrict open access to products requiring control.
♦ Custom Facility Layouts: standard and custom panel sizes fit a wide range of aisle and room configurations.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Should I use 2" x 1" woven wire or 2" x 2" welded wire?

Use 2" x 1" woven wire when the enclosure protects high-value, portable, or controlled inventory. Woven mesh is interlocked rather than fused, so cutting a single strand does not open a hole, and the 1-inch opening blocks a hand from reaching through to a lock or to stock stored near the fence line. Use 2" x 2" welded wire when the barrier is separating space rather than securing valuables, such as walling off a storage room or a contractor area. Welded panels install quickly and cost less, but the larger opening allows reach-through and the joints depend on welds. Many facilities run welded wire on the general perimeter and build a woven wire cage inside it for the items that carry real exposure.

What is WireCrafters Style 840 wire partition?

Style 840 is a woven wire partition system built from 10-gauge wire in a 2" x 1" rectangular mesh, welded into a heavy hot-rolled angle frame with stiffener bars on larger panels. Panels bolt to 2" square, 14-gauge steel tube posts with 3/8" hardware and anchor to the floor with a welded base plate. CustomMHS carries the full line of WireCrafters wire partitions, backed by the manufacturer's warranty.

What does inside-only hardware mean?

The fasteners holding the system together are accessible only from inside the enclosure, so someone standing outside the cage has nothing to unbolt. That closes a gap that exists on partitions where hardware faces outward, since a secure panel is only as secure as the connection holding it in place. For tool cribs, controlled inventory, and high-value storage, that detail matters more than the mesh specification.

Which wall configuration should I choose?

Count how many sides of the enclosure will be existing building walls. The 1-wall configuration fits between two existing walls, which suits securing an aisle or a row of pallet rack. The 2-wall configuration fits a corner or stands free. The 3-wall configuration works against existing walls or stands free. The 4-wall configuration is fully enclosed, available with or without a ceiling.

Which door type fits my layout?

Four options cover different constraints. Hinged and double-hinged doors suit standard access where there is room for the swing. Sliding doors work in tight aisles where a swinging door would block the walkway. Vertical rise doors handle situations where overhead clearance is available but floor and side clearance is not. Door options are in stock for 48-hour shipping.

How difficult is installation?

The panels bolt together cleanly, so most maintenance teams install the system without special tools or equipment. Panels attach to posts using standard hand tools. Because the same panel sizes work for both walls and ceilings, panels stack to reach the required height, which keeps the parts list simple and the enclosure consistent from one section to the next.
