The Hallowell 5532 bin shelving unit provides 21 openings in three sizes across a single unit. The layout combines 12" wide and 18" wide openings, making it the first model in the mixed-opening series to include the 18" width. The 12 shortest positions (12" W x 9" H) accommodate medium-width, shorter items across the upper shelf zone. The 3 taller 12" W x 12" H positions handle items that need more height at the same 12" width. The 6 large 18" W x 12" H positions serve the largest items in the unit, such as packaged components, kitted parts, or bulkier supplies.

The 5532 is suited for inventory spanning two distinct size ranges: medium items that fit 12"-wide positions and larger items that require 18"-wide positions in a single organized unit. All units are 36" wide x 87" high. Three depth options: 12", 18", and 24".

Selecting the Right Depth:

♦ 12" depth, minimum footprint. Suited for items in all three opening sizes that do not require more than 12" of front-to-back clearance.

♦ 18" depth, standard depth. Accommodates most items stored in 12"- and 18"-wide positions.

♦ 24" depth, maximum depth. For higher per-opening volume or deeper items in the 18"-wide positions.

♦ 5532 vs. 5531, the 5531 uses 9" and 12" widths. The 5532 uses 12" and 18" widths. Choose 5532 when the larger items require 18"-wide positions rather than 12"-wide. Choose 5531 when items span the 9" to 12" width range.

♦ 5532 vs. 5533, the 5533 includes a 36"-wide opening for the largest items. Choose 5533 when some items require a full 36"-wide position. Choose 5532 when 18" is the largest opening width needed.

♦ Starter vs. add-on units: Order one starter per row. Add-on units share a side panel and cannot stand alone.
