Hallowell High-Capacity Reinforced Bolted Shelving System for Die and Heavy-Duty Storage
Hallowell High-Capacity Reinforced Bolted Shelving System
Hallowell high-capacity reinforced bolted shelving is a heavy-duty steel shelving system built for the highest per-shelf load ratings in the Hallowell industrial shelving lineup. Reinforced shelf construction resists deflection under extreme loads, delivering up to 2,800 lb per shelf on the 36" wide models. Nut-and-bolt assembly creates a rigid, stable frame suited to die storage, tooling, maintenance parts, and other high-density industrial inventory. Shelves adjust in 1-inch increments, and all sides are open for unrestricted loading and retrieval access.
Finished in Hallowell Gray powder coat for durability in industrial environments. Five models cover widths from 36" to 72" and depths of 18" or 24", all at a standard 84" height, each with 5 shelf levels.
This page covers the bolted reinforced series. If your application does not require the highest per-shelf ratings, the Hallowell Rivetwell boltless series offers faster assembly with up to 2,300 lb per shelf capacity. Prices are shown by manufacturer model number for direct competitor comparison.

Bolted vs. Boltless: Which to Choose:
The bolted-reinforced series carries higher per-shelf capacity ratings than the Rivetwell boltless series for comparable widths and depths. Choose the bolted system when per-shelf load requirements exceed those supported by the boltless series, or when maximum rigidity under concentrated loads is required for die, mold, or heavy tooling storage.
Choose the Rivetwell boltless system when assembly speed and shelf repositioning frequency are priorities and load requirements fall within the boltless series capacity ratings.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Die and Mold Storage: Stamping plants, press shops, and injection molding facilities store production dies, punches, and molds that require the highest available per-shelf capacity to safely support individual die weights.
♦ Toolroom and Tool Crib Storage: Organized storage of heavy fixtures, jigs, gauges, and specialty tooling in controlled-access toolrooms where per-shelf loads exceed the range of standard industrial shelving.
♦ Maintenance and MRO Heavy Parts: Maintenance departments store large spare components, gear assemblies, heavy valves, and industrial parts that cannot be safely stored on standard-capacity shelving without risk of deflection or overload.
♦ Stamping and Fabrication Support: Adjacent-to-press storage of dies in active use, staging recently completed or upcoming dies for fast retrieval during scheduled production changeovers.
♦ Manufacturing Quality and Inspection Areas: Storage of heavy gauges, inspection fixtures, and CMM tooling in quality control environments where per-shelf load concentration is high and shelf deflection would affect measurement accuracy.
