Jamco 3-Shelf LN-Series Deep Lipped Steel Service Cart

Jamco 3-Shelf LN-Series Deep Lipped Steel Service Cart

Jamco 3-Shelf LN-Series Deep Lipped Steel Service Cart | Heavy-Duty Utility Cart

The Jamco LN-Series 3-Shelf Deep Lipped Steel Service Cart features all-welded construction, apart from the casters, for long-lasting durability. Twelve-gauge steel shelves with deep upturned lips provide secure retention across all three shelves, helping contain parts, hardware, and supplies during transport and reducing the risk of items sliding or falling off. 3/16" angle corners and 12-gauge caster mounts add structural strength at the points that see the most stress during daily industrial use.

Capacity depends on caster type: 5" polyurethane casters rate the cart at 1,200 lbs, 5" thermorubber casters at 800 lbs, and 8" semi-pneumatic casters at 2,000 lbs with the added shock absorption of air-filled tires. Three models are available, all at 18"x36".

Models and Specifications:

♦ LN136-U5, 18"W x 36"L x 35"H. 5" polyurethane casters. Capacity 1,200 lbs. Deep-lipped 12-gauge shelves. 3/16" angle corners. 12-gauge caster mounts.

♦ LN136-T5, 18"W x 36"L x 35"H. 5" thermorubber casters. Capacity 800 lbs. Same construction and features as LN136-U5 with thermorubber casters.

♦ LN136-Z8, 18"W x 36"L x 39"H. 8" semi-pneumatic casters. Capacity 2,000 lbs. Taller model with significantly higher capacity and added shock absorption for rougher floor conditions.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Caster type and capacity, 5" polyurethane casters and 8" semi-pneumatic casters both provide solid capacity options at 1,200 lb and 2,000 lb, respectively. 5" thermorubber casters rated at 800 lb. Select based on the required load capacity for your application.

♦ Deep-lipped shelf retention: all three shelves feature upturned lips designed to secure contents during transport, particularly useful for loose parts, hardware, and mixed loads that could otherwise shift or fall.

♦ Rough floor performance: the 8" semi-pneumatic caster option provides better shock absorption on uneven or rough floor surfaces, at the cost of an increase in overall height from 35" to 39".

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Loose Parts and Hardware Transport, maintenance, and production operations moving loose parts, fasteners, and hardware use the deep-lipped shelves to secure contents during transport, reducing spills and lost items.

♦ Three-Category Organization for Mixed Loads, operations organizing mixed loads by category or task across three shelves use the LN-Series to keep parts and supplies contained and separated during transport.

♦ Rough Floor Maintenance and Production Areas: facilities with rough or uneven floor surfaces use the 8" semi-pneumatic caster option for smoother rolling and reduced vibration during transport.

♦ General Industrial Deep-Containment Transport, warehouse, and shop operations needing reliable containment for loose or irregularly shaped items use the LN-Series' deep shelf lips across all three levels.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How durable is the construction, and what does “all-welded” really mean here?
The cart is fully welded, excluding the casters, creating a rigid frame that resists flexing and loosening over time. Welded joints typically hold up better under repeated vibration, impacts, and heavy loading cycles than carts that rely heavily on bolts. This structure is designed for long service life in busy facilities. If your carts get pushed hard every day, all-welded construction is a meaningful upgrade.
What is the Jamco 3-Shelf LN-Series Deep Lipped Steel Service Cart designed for?
This cart is built for heavy-duty service, transport, and staging in industrial environments where reliability is non-negotiable. The three-shelf layout helps you organize tools, parts, and supplies by task or workflow step, so everything stays accessible. With a 1,200-pound capacity, it is suited for demanding daily use in maintenance, production, and warehouse areas. It is a practical choice when you need a rugged cart that can take abuse and keep rolling.
Why do 12-gauge steel shelves matter for industrial use?
12-gauge steel shelves provide a stronger, more stable platform for heavier loads and frequent loading and unloading. Thicker steel helps reduce denting and sagging, protecting both the cart and the contents. It also helps the cart feel more solid and predictable when maneuvering through tight areas. For operations moving dense parts or heavy tool kits, shelf strength directly supports safety and efficiency.
What do the reinforced corners and caster mounts add to performance?
The 3/16-inch-thick angle corners provide structural reinforcement where stress is highest, especially when the cart is loaded unevenly or bumped during transport. The 12-gauge caster mounts provide a stronger attachment point for the wheels, which is critical because caster areas take constant shock and side-load forces. These reinforcements help keep the cart stable and reduce the risk of long-term loosening or failure at high-wear points. In real-world use, this means better durability and fewer maintenance issues.
Where does this cart fit best, and what kind of work is it ideal for?
This cart is a strong fit for maintenance departments, manufacturing floors, warehouses, and repair areas that need reliable mobile storage. It works well for moving parts bins, tooling, hardware, and supplies between stations or job sites. The heavy-duty build supports tasks like equipment maintenance rounds, work-in-progress staging, and shop-wide material runs. If you need a cart that prioritizes strength and containment over lightweight portability, this model is built for that.
