Jesco Large Volume Low Profile Super Heavy Duty Self-Dumping Hoppers

Jesco Large Volume Low Profile Super Heavy Duty Self-Dumping Hoppers | 2.5 to 3.5 Yards
Jesco large volume low profile super heavy duty self-dumping hoppers combine high cubic volume with a reduced height for installations where the standard large volume hoppers (at 59-1/2" high) cannot fit but more volume is needed than the compact low-profile small hoppers provide. At 46" high, these three models serve the mid-range clearance scenario positions under mezzanines, conveyor structures, or overhead equipment where 59-1/2" is too tall but 24" is too shallow to accumulate the volume required.
Three models cover 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 cubic yards, all at 6,000-pound capacity. The 3.5-cubic-yard model (212376) is unique to this series no other Jesco series offers 3.5 yards. All three share the same 64" length; only the width varies with volume. The self-dumping mechanism, forklift compatibility, and formed base construction are consistent with the rest of the Jesco hopper lineup.
Models and Specifications:
♦ 212361, 2.5 cubic yards. 64" long x 67-1/2" wide x 46" high. 6,000-pound capacity. Low-profile formed base. Self-dumping. Forklift-ready.
♦ 212371, 3.0 cubic yards. 64" long x 87-1/2" wide x 46" high. 6,000-pound capacity. Low-profile formed base. Self-dumping. Forklift-ready.
♦ 212376, 3.5 cubic yards. 64" long x 101-1/2" wide x 46" high. 6,000-pound capacity. Low-profile formed base. Self-dumping. Forklift-ready.
Selecting the Right Hopper:
♦ Height clearance, 46" is the key spec for installation planning in this series. Measure the available clearance at the collection position and compare it to 46" before ordering. If the clearance is significantly greater than 46", the standard large-volume series (59-1/2" high) may be a better fit for comparable volumes. If the clearance is 24" or less, the compact low-profile small series is the appropriate choice.
♦ Volume, the 2.5-yard (212361) suits high-volume low-clearance positions where the compact low-profile series (maximum 1/2 yard) is insufficient. The 3.0-yard (212371) further reduces the frequency of forklift pickups. The 3.5-yard (212376) is the maximum volume available in the low-profile format and is appropriate when both maximum volume and the 46" clearance requirement drive the selection.
♦ 3.5-yard format is unique to this series; no other Jesco series, including the standard large volume, the super extra heavy duty, or the Husky, offers a 3.5-cubic-yard format. If 3.5 yards of capacity is required, this series is the only option in the Jesco lineup.
♦ Width grows with volume at fixed length and height; all three models are 64" long and 46" high. Only the width varies: 67-1/2" at 2.5 yards, 87-1/2" at 3.0 yards, and 101-1/2" at 3.5 yards. The 3.5-yard model at over 8 feet wide requires careful site planning for aisle clearance, forklift approach, and delivery access.
♦ 6,000-pound capacity at all volumes, consistent across all three models. The 6,000-pound limit will typically be reached before the hopper is at volumetric capacity when collecting dense metal scrap or heavy aggregate. Plan for the material density alongside the cubic volume when evaluating whether this series meets the application requirement.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Under-Mezzanine High-Volume Scrap Collection, facilities with mezzanine decks above production areas where scrap collects at floor level use the large volume low profile hoppers to accumulate meaningful volume before a forklift pickup, more than a compact low-profile hopper allows, without requiring 59-1/2" of overhead clearance that the standard large volume hoppers need.
♦ Under-Conveyor High-Volume Collection Points, conveyor systems with overhead clearance in the 46" range use these hoppers to accumulate large volumes of scrap or production waste at the conveyor discharge point, reducing the frequency of forklift pickups without moving or raising the conveyor structure.
♦ Low-Clearance Foundry Scrap Staging, foundries with overhead crane rails, ductwork, or structure that limits clearance to the 46" range use the large volume low-profile format to stage heavy scrap loads before crane or forklift pickup.
♦ High-Throughput Machining Cells with Overhead Constraints, machining areas under structural beams, overhead piping, or mechanical systems that limit clearance, use the 2.5 to 3.5-yard low-profile format to accumulate full-shift scrap volumes in a single hopper without restructuring the overhead infrastructure.
♦ Facilities Needing 3.5 Cubic Yards at Reduced Height, any operation that specifically needs the 3.5-yard capacity but cannot accommodate the 59-1/2" height of the standard large volume series uses the 212376 as the only product in the Jesco lineup that provides that combination.
