The Little Giant 2-Shift Storage Cabinet addresses a problem specific to multi-shift and multi-department environments: shared tool storage with no built-in accountability. When two crews share a single unlocked or single-keyed cabinet, equipment gets borrowed between shifts, returned to the wrong place, or simply disappears without a clear point of responsibility.

The 2-Shift cabinet solves this by providing two independently keyed compartments within one full-height 78" cabinet. Each compartment has its own lock and its own key, so each shift or department accesses only its own section. Both compartments share the same cabinet footprint, making it more space-efficient than two separate cabinets while maintaining the accountability separation between shifts.

Construction is 12-gauge welded steel throughout. Shelf capacity is 1,500 pounds per shelf in each compartment. Two widths (48" and 60") and two depths (24" and 30") make up the four configurations, all at 78" tall.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Width, 48" vs. 60": In the 48"-wide models, each compartment shelf is 24" wide. In the 60"-wide models, each compartment shelf is 30" wide. Choose wider models when the items stored per shift are wider or when more lateral shelf space per crew is needed.

♦ Depth, 24" vs. 30": The 24"-deep models (21-3/4" interior shelf depth) suit standard industrial tools, containers, and equipment. The 30"-deep models (27-3/4" interior shelf depth) accommodate deeper items that would extend past or sit awkwardly on a 24" shelf.

♦ Two compartments vs. two cabinets: Two separate cabinets each require their own floor footprint, delivery, and installation position. The 2-Shift cabinet provides the same dual-keyed accountability in a single footprint, which matters in areas where wall space and aisle clearance are limited.
