Metro 3-Shelf Stainless SPN-Series Wire Utility Carts

Metro 3-Shelf Stainless SPN Series Wire Utility Cart | Corrosion-Resistant Utility Cart
The Metro 3-Shelf SPN-Series Stainless Steel Wire Utility Cart is designed for ease of assembly with a positive placement system that allows for quick, tool-free shelf adjustments. These durable carts efficiently handle and distribute large volumes of material safely across three organized shelves.
Four 5" polyurethane casters feature polymer horns and stainless steel axles for smooth mobility and extended corrosion resistance through the entire caster assembly. Donut bumpers included with the casters provide additional protection against impacts to walls and equipment. Two one-piece stainless steel handles improve maneuverability throughout the transport process. Five sizes are available, all sharing 3 shelves and a 900 lb capacity.

Stainless steel construction, well suited to corrosive, wet, or washdown environments where chrome or zinc finishes would degrade over time. For dry, general-purpose use, the Metro SPN Series Chrome or Brite Finish carts offer the same functionality at a lower cost.
Stainless steel axles, unlike carts with standard steel axles under a stainless frame, extend corrosion resistance throughout the entire caster assembly, which is valuable in continuously wet or chemically exposed environments.
Where Commonly Used:
Laboratory and Cleanroom Wet Environment Transport, laboratories and cleanroom-adjacent facilities working with liquids, chemicals, or frequent washdown use stainless steel construction for reliable long-term performance where chrome or zinc equipment would corrode.
Food Processing and Sanitation-Critical Operations, food processing and pharmaceutical facilities requiring frequent washdown and strict sanitation standards use the Type 304 stainless steel cart for durability under repeated cleaning cycles.
Marine, Coastal, and High-Humidity Facility Operations: Facilities in marine, coastal, or consistently high-humidity environments use stainless steel construction to avoid the corrosion issues that affect standard finishes in these conditions.
Multi-Category Corrosive Material Organization, which organizes chemicals or corrosive materials across three separate categories, uses the extra shelf to keep materials sorted without needing a second cart.
