Pucel perforated steel storage cabinets are the ventilated version of the Pucel Heavy Duty HDSC series, with the same 12-gauge sides, 14-gauge reinforced shelves and bottom, adjustable shelves on 4" centers, keyed handle, and all-welded construction as the solid-door and clear acrylic door models, but with perforated steel doors that allow airflow and partial visibility into the cabinet interior.

At 1,500 pounds per shelf, this is the highest shelf capacity of any perforated or vented cabinet in the CustomMHS lineup. The Hallowell DuraTough vented cabinet is rated at 1,450 pounds per shelf, and the Parent Metal perforated cabinet is rated at 400 pounds per shelf. When maximum load capacity is required alongside ventilation, the Pucel perforated series is the appropriate selection.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Width, 36" vs. 48", the 36"-wide models suit standard wall positions and tight bay locations. The 48"-wide models provide more lateral shelf surface. Shelf capacity is 1,500 pounds per shelf across both widths.

♦ Depth, 19" vs. 24", the 19"-deep models minimize front-to-back footprint for positions with limited clearance. The 24"-deep models provide more interior shelf space for larger items and higher-capacity storage per shelf position.

♦ Height and shelf count: the 48"-tall models include 2 total shelves (1 fixed, 1 adjustable). The 60"-tall models include 3 total shelves (1 fixed, 2 adjustable). The 72" and 78"-tall models each include 4 total shelves. The 84"-tall models also include 4 total shelves and are the tallest option in the lineup.

♦ Perforated door vs. solid door or clear acrylic, the solid-door Pucel HDSC uses the same construction and capacity at a lower price and is appropriate when neither ventilation nor visibility is required. The clear acrylic Pucel HDSC-Plex provides full front-panel transparency for maximum visibility but no airflow. The perforated HDSC-Perf provides partial visibility and active airflow. Choose based on the primary requirement at the storage position.

♦ Perforated Pucel vs. Hallowell DuraTough vented: the Hallowell vented cabinet is rated at 1,450 pounds per shelf with three-sided ventilation (perforated doors, sides, and expanded-metal back). The Pucel perforated cabinet is rated at 1,500 pounds per shelf with perforated doors. For maximum ventilation from multiple directions, the Hallowell three-sided approach is more thorough. For maximum load capacity with perforated door ventilation, the Pucel is the higher-capacity option.
