Pucel 304 Stainless Bi-Fold Door Cabinet

Pucel Stainless Steel Bi-Fold Door Cabinets | Space-Saving Doors, 3-Point Cylinde
Pucel stainless steel bi-fold door cabinets provide the same Type 304 stainless steel construction, No. 4 finish, and 500-pound-per-shelf capacity as the standard Pucel stainless flush-door cabinet, with one key difference: the bi-fold doors fold inward rather than swing outward, requiring significantly less clearance in front of the cabinet when opened. This makes the bi-fold format the appropriate choice for tight aisles, cleanroom corridors, and lab environments where full-swing door clearance is unavailable.
The 3-point cylinder lock comes with 2 keys included. Inside, 1 fixed shelf and 3 adjustable shelves provide 4 total positions at 500 pounds per shelf. Both models are 36" wide and 78" high in Type 304 stainless with a No. 4 brushed finish. Depth choice 18" or 24" is the only variable between the two models.
Models and Specifications:
♦ BDSC-SS-3678-18, 36" wide x 18" deep x 78" high. Type 304 stainless, No. 4 finish. Bi-fold doors. 1 fixed and 3 adjustable shelves. 500 pounds per shelf. 3-point cylinder lock, 2 keys included.
♦ BDSC-SS-3678-24, 36" wide x 24" deep x 78" high. Type 304 stainless, No. 4 finish. Bi-fold doors. 1 fixed and 3 adjustable shelves. 500 pounds per shelf. 3-point cylinder lock, 2 keys included.
Selecting the Right Cabinet:
♦ Bi-fold vs. flush swing doors, the standard Pucel stainless flush-door cabinet uses conventional swing doors that require full clearance in front of the cabinet equal to the door width. The bi-fold doors on this model fold inward, reducing the front clearance needed to open the cabinet fully. Choose the bi-fold format when installation is in a tight aisle, corridor, or position where swing-door clearance is insufficient. Choose the flush-door model when clearance is not a constraint and a conventional door operation is preferred.
♦ Depth, 18" vs. 24", the 18"-deep model minimizes front-to-back footprint and is suited to positions with limited depth. The 24"-deep model provides more interior shelf space for larger containers, deeper bins, and equipment that needs more front-to-back room. Both depths are available at the same 36" width and 78" height.
♦ 3-point cylinder lock with 2 keys; the cylinder lock mechanism differs from the keyed handle on the flush-door stainless model. Two keys are included.
♦ 500-pound shelf capacity, consistent with the flush-door stainless model at the same width. Adequate for lab supplies, cleaning chemicals, medical equipment, tools, and regulated supplies in stainless environments. For loads consistently approaching or exceeding 500 pounds per shelf, the Strong Hold stainless cabinet series offers higher capacity.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Narrow Aisle and Corridor Installations, facilities where cabinet positions are in narrow aisles, lab corridors, or cleanroom passageways where full-swing door clearance would block traffic or workflow, use the bi-fold format to access the full cabinet interior without requiring the aisle width that swing doors demand.
♦ Cleanrooms with Restricted Movement Zones, cleanroom environments where floor space is carefully managed, and door swing paths are minimized to reduce turbulence and contamination risk, benefit from the reduced footprint of bi-fold door operation.
♦ Laboratory Benchtop-Adjacent Positions: lab cabinets positioned alongside or between benches where swing doors would contact adjacent equipment or personnel benefit from the bi-fold configuration, which keeps the door within the cabinet's footprint when open.
♦ Food Processing and Pharmaceutical Corridors, regulated facilities with tightly managed floor layouts where every square foot of aisle clearance is designated for personnel or equipment movement, use bi-fold cabinets to maintain both storage access and aisle compliance simultaneously.
♦ Fixed-Position High-Traffic Environments, cabinets in positions where they are accessed frequently throughout the shift and where an outward-swinging door would repeatedly create a hazard or obstruction for passing personnel, benefit from the bi-fold door that stays within the cabinet's lateral footprint when open.
