Quantum Stackable Shelf Bins

Quantum stackable shelf bins are made from heavy-duty virgin high-density polypropylene, an FDA-approved material, and are autoclavable to 250°F, setting them apart from standard plastic bins in environments where material compliance, sanitation, and temperature resistance are required. Waterproof and corrosion-resistant construction performs in washdown areas, cold storage, sterile processing, lab environments, and general industrial environments
settings where standard bins would absorb moisture or degrade.

The raised front opening allows full use of the bin's interior volume while providing fast access for picking. Molded-in label slots support standardized location labeling. Optional cross dividers separate multiple SKUs within a single bin. Stackable design allows bins to nest securely when stacked for vertical storage on shelving.

Ten sizes span four lengths (12", 14", 18", 20-1/2") and three widths (6", 8-1/4", 11"), all at a uniform 7" outside height. Three divider models cover all widths at all lengths. Prices are per carton of 6 or 12 bins. 

Selecting the Right Bin:

♦ Size selection, use outside dimensions to confirm the bin fits the shelf opening. Use inside dimensions to confirm usable interior clearance. All models are 7" high outside. Length ranges from 12" to 20-1/2" and width from 6" to 11". Choose based on the part size, the required inventory volume per bin position, and the available shelf depth.

♦ FDA-approved material, the virgin HDPE construction meets FDA standards for direct food contact. This is relevant for food processing, food service, medical device manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and any regulated environment where bin material compliance is audited or required. Standard Akro-Mils bins are not specified for FDA compliance. Choose the Quantum stackable shelf bin when FDA material approval is a procurement requirement.

♦ Autoclavable to 250°F, the bin withstands steam autoclave sterilization at standard cycle temperatures (250°F / 121°C). This is a direct performance specification for sterile processing departments, laboratory environments, and any application that requires periodic sterilization of the storage container itself. This capability is not available in standard polypropylene small-parts bins.

♦ Divider compatibility by width, the DSS401 cross divider fits the 6"-wide models (SSB441, SSB461). The DSS403 fits the 8-1/4"-wide models (SSB423, SSB443, SSB463, SSB483). The DSS405 fits the 11"-wide models (SSB425, SSB445, SSB465, SSB485). All dividers cover all lengths at the applicable width. One divider model per width tier fits all length options in that width.

♦ Quantum stackable shelf bin vs. Quantum Ultra Stack and Hang, the Ultra Stack and Hang bins include a built-in louvered panel hanger and are optimized for dual stack-and-hang use. The stackable shelf bin is shelf-only, heavier-duty construction with FDA approval and autoclave capability features not specified on the Ultra Stack and Hang series. Choose Ultra Stack and Hang for louvered panel applications. Choose this stackable shelf bin for hygiene-critical, FDA-required, or autoclave applications on standard shelving.

♦ Carton quantities: Most models ship 6 per carton. The SSB443 (14" L, 8-1/4" W) ships 12 per carton.
