MECO Series 1000 Medium Duty Cantilever Uprights, Economical Storage for Long Materials

MECO Omaha Series 1000 Medium-Duty Cantilever Uprights are a practical and economical storage solution for organizing long, bulky, or irregular materials in industrial environments. These uprights are available in heights from 6 feet to 12 feet, giving facilities the flexibility to match storage capacity with available space. Pricing includes both the upright and base, making it easier to budget for a complete rack section.

This system is especially well suited for maintenance departments and tool rooms where storing pipe, bar stock, tubing, lumber, or other long materials can quickly become inefficient and unsafe. Cantilever arms and bracing are sold separately, and the system supports both straight and inclined arms for flexible storage configurations. Start each row with two uprights to build a starter unit, or use two uprights for a stand-alone setup, then add one upright per unit to efficiently expand the row.

Important: MECO Series 1000 uprights, arms, and brace sets are compatible only with other Series 1000 components and are not interchangeable with any other rack series.

Fifteen configurations are available across five heights and three base lengths.

Selection Guide:

♦ Height: from 6' up to 12 '. Select based on your ceiling clearance and the vertical storage capacity your facility needs.

♦ Base length, 33", 45", or 57", each length pairs with compatible arm lengths; confirm the correct arm length for your materials before ordering, since arms are sold separately.

♦ Starter vs. add-on setup: start each row with two uprights to build a starter unit, then add one upright per unit to expand the row efficiently as storage needs grow.

♦ Component compatibility: Series 1000 uprights, arms, and brace sets are not interchangeable with other MECO rack series; confirm matching components throughout your system.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Maintenance Department and Tool Room Storage, maintenance departments and tool rooms use this system to organize pipe, bar stock, tubing, and lumber that would otherwise clutter floor space.

♦ Warehouse and Distribution Long Material Storage, warehouses and distribution centers use cantilever uprights to store oversized or irregularly shaped items that don't fit standard pallet racking.

♦ Manufacturing Raw Material Organization: manufacturing facilities use this system to store bar stock, tubing, and structural shapes in an organized, space-efficient layout.

♦ Growing Facilities Needing Scalable Storage, facilities expecting future storage growth use the starter and add-on structure to build out their rack system over time without redesigning the layout.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is MECO Series 1,000 medium duty cantilever racking used for?
MECO Series 1,000 medium duty cantilever racking stores long, bulky items that do not fit well on standard pallet racks. It supports materials like lumber, pipe, tubing, bar stock, and other products with uneven lengths. The open-front design allows workers to load and unload items without front columns getting in the way. That makes it a practical storage system for warehouses, shops, and industrial facilities.
How does MECO Series 1,000 cantilever racking help a facility run better?
This cantilever racking helps facilities organize long materials in a safer and more efficient way. It keeps inventory off the floor, reducing clutter and opening up valuable working space. A better-organized system also helps workers find, pick, and restock items more quickly. Over time, that can improve flow in storage areas and support cleaner daily operations.
What are the key features of MECO Series 1,000 medium duty cantilever racking?
MECO Series 1,000 medium-duty cantilever racking uses upright columns and arms to support long loads with clear access from the front. Many layouts include starter units to begin a row and add-on units to expand storage capacity. The system can often be configured with straight arms or inclined arms, depending on the material being stored. This flexibility helps facilities match the rack layout to product size, weight, and handling needs.
What types of facilities commonly use medium duty cantilever racking?
Medium-duty cantilever racking is common in warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and maintenance departments. It is also useful in lumber yards, metal shops, and backroom storage areas with long inventory. Facilities choose it when products are difficult to stack safely on shelves or pallets. It works especially well for operations that need fast access to materials of different lengths.
Why choose MECO Series 1,000 cantilever racking for long material storage?
MECO Series 1,000 cantilever racking gives facilities a structured way to store long inventory without wasting floor space. Its design enhances visibility, helping teams check stock levels and locate materials faster. It also allows facilities to build rows that fit current demand and expand later as storage needs change. For many operations, this creates a more orderly storage area and supports safer material handling.
