The R5KJ Multi-Drawer Series features configurations ranging from 6 to 12 drawers per cabinet, combining shallow, medium, and deep drawers to accommodate everything from small tools and precision components to larger fixtures and heavy parts. Unlike the standard 54" R5AJ Series, which emphasizes fewer, larger drawers, the R5KJ Series provides more individual storage locations for organizing different tools, parts, and inventory categories within the same cabinet.
With their extra-wide 54" design and flexible drawer configurations, Rousseau R5KJ modular drawer cabinets help maximize storage capacity, improve inventory organization, and reduce clutter while keeping essential tools and components within easy reach.
Selecting the Right Cabinet:
♦ Depth -- 24" (R5KJE) vs. 27" (R5KJG): The 24" depth suits standard floor positions where front-to-back clearance is limited. The 27" depth provides additional drawer interior space for longer tools, larger components, and items requiring more front-to-back clearance. The R5KJG 27" series also includes additional 46" height configurations (R5KJG-4401 through R5KJG-4404) not offered in the 24" lineup.
♦ Cabinet height: The 32" height suits workbench-height use with 6 to 8 drawers. The 36" height adds one to two drawer positions with a wider range of drawer height combinations, reaching 9 to 10 drawers. The 40" height supports 9-drawer configurations suited to mixed heavy and mid-weight inventory. The 46" height reaches 11 drawers, with deeper coverage of varied drawer heights. The 60" models provide the maximum at 12 drawers, combining shallow, mid, and deep positions in a single floor-height unit.
♦ Drawer configuration: The R5KJ series distinguishes itself by offering a variety of drawer heights within a single cabinet. A 32" or 36" model might combine 3", 4", 5", 6", 8", 9", and 12" drawers in one unit, suited to operations where no single drawer height covers the full range of stored inventory. This variety per cabinet differs from the standard R5AJ series, which offers more consistent drawer height across positions.
♦ Partitions: Models with "Yes" include drawer divider partitions for subdivided storage within each drawer. Models with "No" have open drawer interiors. The partition option is especially useful in shallower drawers, where small items benefit most from organized separation.
