Rousseau 62” R-Series Multi-Drawer Tool Cabinet Carts

The Rousseau 62" R-Series multi-drawer tool cabinet cart is the largest and most complete mobile storage format in the R-Series lineup. At 62" wide and 46-1/2" tall, every model on this page includes a steel work surface on top, making these full mobile workstations rather than pure drawer carts. The steel top creates a durable work area on the cart for layout, assembly, inspection, or staging tasks alongside stored tools and parts, eliminating the need for a separate bench at the job site.

Two configurations are offered. The 14-drawer format (R5GHE/G-3803/3804) features 14 drawers, a door section at the top, and a steel work surface. The 8-drawer format (R5GHG-3807/3808 and R5GHE-3807/3808) reduces the drawer count in favor of a door section with two enclosed shelves, suited to operations where some items need organized shelf access alongside the drawer positions in the same mobile unit.

Two depths are available: 24" (R5GHE) and 27" (R5GHG). All carts run on 6" polyurethane casters rated at 900 lb each with full-extension slides and 400 lb per drawer capacity. All are manufactured in North America.

Selecting the Right Cart:

♦ Depth, 24" (R5GHE) vs. 27" (R5GHG): The 24" depth provides a slightly smaller footprint for tighter aisle clearance. The 27" depth adds drawer and shelf interior space for longer tools, wider trays, and items that need more front-to-back room. Note that the 27" models (R5GHG) include two shelves in the door section, while the 24" 14-drawer models (R5GHE-3803/3804) may not be verified before ordering whether shelves in the door section are required.
♦ 14-drawer format (3803/3804 series): Maximum drawer count in the 62" mobile format. Four 3" shallow positions for inserts, small tools, and gauges; seven 4" positions for mid-size tools and organized parts; two 6" and one 8" for larger items and heavy tooling. Suited to operations where a highly organized drawer count is the priority, and the door section provides enclosed storage for overflow or documentation.
♦ 8-drawer format with shelves (3807/3808 series): Fewer drawers in exchange for two enclosed shelves in the door section. The shelf positions accommodate items that are too large or irregularly shaped for drawers -- manuals, larger fixtures, bulky components, or equipment that benefits from open-shelf access within a locked-door section. Suited to operations where the working set is a mix of drawer-appropriate and shelf-appropriate items.
♦ Partitions: Models marked "Yes" include drawer divider partitions. Models marked "No" have open interiors.
