Strong Hold 4-Shelf Bin Storage Cabinet

Strong Hold 4-Shelf Bin Storage Cabinet

Strong Hold 4-Shelf Bin Storage Cabinets | Hopper Bins with Label Holders, Door-Mounted Bins

Strong Hold 4-shelf bin storage cabinets combine the 12-gauge all-welded construction and heavy-capacity shelving of the standard Strong Hold floor cabinet with a built-in complete small-parts bin system. Four adjustable 14-gauge shelves hold removable yellow polypropylene hopper bins with integrated label holders, keeping fasteners, hardware, components, and consumables organized by part number and easy to pick, restock, and identify. Additional bins are mounted directly inside the cabinet doors, adding organized bin capacity without occupying shelf space.

The 36"-wide model holds 94 bins total with a shelf capacity of 1,900 pounds per shelf. The 48"-wide model holds 144 bins with 1,200 pounds per shelf. Both models are 78" high and 24" deep, with welded legs for forklift repositioning. The 3-point locking system includes a padlock hasp for dual-lock capability.

Models and Specifications:

♦ 36-BS-244, 36" wide x 24" deep x 78" high. 94 removable yellow hopper bins with label holders. Door-mounted bins. 4 adjustable 14-gauge shelves. 1,900 pounds per shelf. 3-point locking with padlock hasp. Welded legs. 12-gauge all-welded steel.

♦ 46-BS-244, 48" wide x 24" deep x 78" high. 144 removable yellow hopper bins with label holders. Door-mounted bins. 4 adjustable 14-gauge shelves. 1,200 pounds per shelf. 3-point locking with padlock hasp. Welded legs. 12-gauge all-welded steel.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Width and bin count: the 48"-wide model holds 144 bins, 50 more than the 36"-wide model's 94 bins. Choose the wider model when a larger parts inventory requires more individual bin positions. Choose the narrower model when the bin count is sufficient and a smaller footprint is preferred or required.

♦ Shelf capacity by width: the 36"-wide model carries 1,900 pounds per shelf, the highest in this lineup. The 48"-wide model carries 1,200 pounds per shelf. If the shelves will hold heavier tooling or components alongside the bins, verify the load against the appropriate shelf rating.

♦ Hopper bins with label holders: the removable hopper-front bins allow parts to be scooped out from the front opening rather than lifted from above, which is faster for high-frequency picking. The integrated label holders keep part numbers, descriptions, and reorder points visible on each bin face without taping or additional labeling hardware. This directly supports visual management and kanban replenishment programs.

♦ Door-mounted bins, bins mounted to the inside of the cabinet doors, are accessible immediately when the doors are opened, without reaching into the shelves. This is the most ergonomic position for the most frequently accessed parts, which are at the front of the cabinet and require minimal motion to retrieve. Reserve door-mounted positions for the highest-velocity parts in the inventory.

♦ Removable bins: all bins can be removed from the cabinet, individually taken to a filling or counting station, and returned without disturbing adjacent bins or the cabinet structure. This simplifies bulk replenishment and physical inventory counts.

♦ Strong Hold bin cabinet vs. Jamco bin cabinet, the Jamco bin cabinet uses full louvered interior panels with bins mounted on the panel at any height in small increments. The Strong Hold bin cabinet uses fixed 14-gauge shelves with hopper bins on the shelves and door-mounted bins. Choose the Jamco format for maximum flexibility in bin positioning and louvered-panel customization. Choose the Strong Hold format for the higher shelf capacity, 12-gauge construction, and the familiar Strong Hold hardware and locking specification.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Maintenance Parts Cribs, maintenance departments storing fasteners, fittings, seals, bearings, and electrical components by part number in labeled hopper bins benefit from the locked cabinet that keeps parts secured, organized, and immediately identifiable during maintenance calls.

♦ Assembly Line Small-Parts Stations: assembly workers repeatedly pull a specific set of small components during production; each part number is in its own labeled bin, with the highest-velocity parts in door-mounted positions for fastest access during the production run.

♦ MRO stockrooms and storerooms managing a range of maintenance, repair, and operations consumables keep the complete parts inventory in a single locked cabinet with labeled bins that support visual replenishment and inventory checks without opening each container.

♦ Tool Crib Consumables: Tool cribs use the bin cabinet alongside drawer and shelf cabinets to separate organized small parts from tooling, with the bin format optimized for high-turnover consumables that benefit from the hopper-front picking format.

♦ Production Support and Kanban Replenishment: Production facilities running kanban replenishment use the label holders on each bin to display the reorder point and supplier information, allowing stockroom personnel to restock the cabinet at shift change without a separate inventory system for each bin position.
