Strong Hold Stainless Double Shift Cabinet | Secure 24/7 Industrial Storage Solution

Strong Hold Stainless Steel Double Shift Cabinets | Two Independently Locking Sides, Shelves Only
Strong Hold stainless steel double-shift cabinets divide a single 12-gauge, all-welded stainless enclosure into two fully independent storage zones, each with its own 3-point locking handle. A full internal partition separates the two sides completely -- one side can be accessed and unlocked while the other remains secured. This shelves-only format provides heavy-capacity shelf storage on each side without drawers, suited to environments where large tools, equipment, supplies, and containers are stored by shift or user in a stainless cabinet that withstands corrosion, washdowns, and chemical exposure.
Shelf capacity reaches 1,950 pounds per shelf on the 72"-wide models -- the highest in the stainless double shift lineup. Four widths (36", 48", 60", 72") and two heights (60" and 72" nominal, or 66" and 78" OAH with 6" 7-gauge welded legs) make up the eight-model lineup. The 60"-nominal models include 3 shelves per side (6 total); the 72"-nominal models include 4 shelves per side (8 total). All are 24" deep. Ships fully assembled.
Selecting the Right Cabinet:
♦ Width and shelf capacity: the shelf capacity pattern here differs from the standard Strong Hold stainless floor cabinet. In this double-shift series, the wider cabinets carry more per shelf: 36"-wide = 950 pounds per shelf; 48"-wide = 1,275 pounds per shelf; 60"-wide = 1,600 pounds per shelf; 72"-wide = 1,950 pounds per shelf. Choose a width based on the shelf load requirements of the items stored on each side and the available floor footprint.
♦ Height, 60" vs. 72" nominal, the 60"-nominal models (66" OAH) provide 3 shelves per side and suit positions with lower overhead clearance. The 72"-nominal models (78" OAH) provide 4 shelves per side. Choose based on available ceiling clearance and the number of shelf positions needed per side.
♦ Independent locking per side; each side locks with its own 3-point handle. Unlocking one side does not require or affect the lock on the other. This is the defining feature of the double shift format. One shift can access their side while the other side remains secured from the previous shift, with no coordination required between users.
♦ Stainless double shift vs. stainless double shift with drawers: the drawer version adds 6 to 16 drawers (3 to 8 per side) at 400 pounds each, reducing the shelf count per side to accommodate the drawers. Choose this shelves-only format when all stored items can be placed on shelves: large tools, equipment, containers, supplies. Choose the drawer version when organized drawer storage for small tools and parts is needed on each side alongside shelving.
♦ Stainless vs. carbon steel double-shift cabinet: the carbon steel double-shift floor cabinet is available in a wider range of drawer and shelf configurations and is priced substantially lower. Choose the stainless format when corrosion resistance, washdown compatibility, or sanitation compliance is required. Choose the carbon steel format when neither is required.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Multi-Shift Food Processing Maintenance: maintenance teams in food processing facilities who need independently locked stainless storage at shared positions use the double shift format to keep each shift's tools and supplies secured and separated in a washdown-compatible enclosure.
♦ Pharmaceutical Production Shift Storage, two-shift pharmaceutical production positions where each shift maintains control over its tools, calibrated instruments, and controlled materials in a stainless cabinet that meets the material compliance specification of the facility.
♦ Laboratory and Research Shared Positions: Lab positions shared between two teams, two projects, or two shifts use the independently locking sides to prevent material commingling between users while sharing the same stainless cabinet footprint.
♦ Cleanroom Support and Staging Areas, cleanroom-adjacent positions where two shifts store issued PPE, consumables, and staging materials in independently locked sides of a stainless cabinet that can be sanitized along with the surrounding environment.
♦ Food Service and Commercial Kitchen Storage: commercial kitchen positions shared between two crews or two shifts store their tools and supplies in independently locked stainless sides, maintaining shift accountability in a washdown-compatible format.
