Strong Hold Stainless Steel Storage Cabinet with Adjustable Shelves

Strong Hold Stainless Steel Storage Cabinets | 12-Gauge 304 Stainless, Heavy-Duty Shelving
Strong Hold stainless steel storage cabinets deliver the full heavy-duty specification of the Strong Hold carbon steel floor cabinet lineup in 12-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a No. 3 finish. The corrosion-resistant stainless construction makes these cabinets appropriate for washdown areas, food processing facilities, pharmaceutical environments, cleanrooms, labs, and any industrial position where painted carbon steel cabinets would rust, chip, or require replacement due to chemical or moisture exposure.
Shelf capacity follows the same pattern as the carbon steel Strong Hold series by width: up to 1,900 pounds per shelf at 36" wide, 1,200 pounds at 48" wide, 1,650 pounds at 60" wide, and 1,525 pounds at 72" wide. These are the highest per-shelf capacities of any stainless cabinet in the CustomMHS lineup. Shelves adjust on 2" centers. The 3-point locking system is designed for a heavy padlock. 7-gauge welded legs allow forklift repositioning. Ships fully assembled.
Four widths (36", 48", 60", 72"), two heights (66" and 78"), and one 20"-deep option alongside the standard 24" depth make up the nine-model lineup.
Selecting the Right Cabinet:
♦ Width and shelf capacity: the 36"-wide models carry 1,900 pounds per shelf, identical to the carbon steel 36"-wide Strong Hold floor cabinet. The 48"-wide models carry 1,200 pounds per shelf, the 60"-wide 1,650 pounds, and the 72"-wide 1,525 pounds. Width selection should account for both the required shelf load and the floor footprint available at the installation position.
♦ Height, 66" vs. 78", the 66"-high models include 3 adjustable shelves plus 1 fixed shelf (4 total). The 78"-high models include 4 adjustable shelves plus 1 fixed shelf (5 total). Choose the taller format when the additional shelf position is needed or when maximum storage density per floor position is the priority.
♦ Depth, 20" vs. 24", the 36-204SS is the only 20"-deep model in the lineup, providing a shallower front-to-back footprint at the 36"-wide 78"-high configuration. All other models are 24" deep. Choose the 20"-deep model when front-to-back space at the installation position is constrained, and the 36" width and 78" height meet the other requirements.
♦ No. 3 finish vs. No. 4 finish, this Strong Hold stainless series uses a No. 3 finish, which is a slightly coarser brushed appearance than the No. 4 finish on the Pucel stainless cabinets. Both finishes are widely used in industrial and commercial stainless-steel applications and are easy to clean and sanitize. Specify the finish based on facility standards or aesthetic preferences if your facility's specification requires a specific finish.
♦ Strong Hold stainless vs. Pucel stainless, the Pucel stainless cabinet is 16-gauge with a No. 4 finish and carries 500 pounds per shelf in a 36"-wide only format. The Strong Hold stainless cabinet is 12-gauge with a No. 3 finish and carries up to 1,900 pounds per shelf across four widths. Choose the Pucel for a lighter-duty stainless cabinet at a lower price point. Choose the Strong Hold for maximum shelf capacity and heavy-duty construction in stainless.
♦ 2" shelf adjustment increment, finer than the Pucel carbon steel HDSC (4" increments) and consistent with the carbon steel Strong Hold floor series. Allows precise shelf positioning for items of varying heights.
♦ 7-gauge welded legs, the same leg specification as the carbon steel Strong Hold floor cabinet. Provides forklift clearance and allows the loaded cabinet to be repositioned in the facility without unloading.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Food Processing and Meat Processing Facilities, facilities that conduct daily or shift-end washdowns with water and cleaning agents, store tools, equipment, and supplies in stainless cabinets that resist the moisture and cleaning chemical exposure that would corrode and degrade painted steel cabinets over time.
♦ Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Packaging: pharmaceutical environments with strict contamination control requirements use stainless-steel storage cabinets for tools, spare parts, and controlled materials at production and packaging positions where painted steel surfaces are unacceptable.
♦ Chemical Processing Plants and facilities working with corrosive chemicals that would attack painted steel use Type 304 stainless steel construction to store chemical-handling equipment, personal protective gear, and maintenance supplies in positions exposed to chemical vapors or splashes.
♦ Cleanrooms and Controlled Manufacturing Areas, cleanroom environments requiring non-particle-shedding, non-rusting, easy-to-sanitize storage for components, instruments, and supplies, use stainless cabinets to meet the material specification requirements of the controlled environment.
♦ Laboratory and Research Facilities, research labs requiring corrosion-resistant locked storage for heavy supplies, instruments, and controlled materials benefit from the 1,900-pound shelf capacity at the 36"-wide format -- substantially higher than any other stainless cabinet available from this site.
♦ High-Humidity and Wet Industrial Positions: Industrial positions in facilities with persistent condensation, steam exposure, or frequent wet cleaning use stainless storage to maintain cabinet integrity across the full service life without rust, surface degradation, or paint failure.
