Strong Hold ventilated storage cabinets combine the premium hardware specification of the Strong Hold Extreme Duty series with diamond-perforated steel doors that allow airflow and partial visibility into the cabinet interior. The 8-gauge hinges, cast aluminum bronze alloy handle, and 3-point locking system are the same hardware used on the strongest solid-door Strong Hold models. The shelf capacity reaches 2,200 pounds per shelf on the 36"-wide model, the highest per-shelf capacity of any ventilated cabinet on this site.

Unlike the Strong Hold VBS ventilated series (which uses standard hardware and welded legs), the V-series uses premium hinge and handle hardware and ships at 78" height. All three models are 24" deep with 4 adjustable shelves. Ships fully assembled.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Width and shelf capacity: the 36"-wide model carries 2,200 pounds per shelf, the highest capacity of any ventilated cabinet in the CustomMHS lineup. The 48"-wide model carries 1,500 pounds per shelf. The 60"-wide model carries 1,950 pounds per shelf. In this series, the 60" wide model carries more per shelf than the 48"-wide, which follows the same pattern as other Strong Hold wide-format cabinets, where the wider body provides more structural bracing.

♦ V-series vs. VBS ventilated series: the VBS series (path 3478) uses standard hardware, offers 6" welded legs for forklift mobility, covers five heights from 36" to 72" nominal, and extends to 72" wide. The V-series uses premium 8-gauge hinges and a cast bronze alloy handle, is available only at 78" height, tops out at 60" wide, and carries higher per-shelf capacity at each comparable width. Choose the VBS series for the widest format, forklift mobility, or counter-height options. Choose the V-series for maximum shelf capacity and premium hardware at the full-height 78" format.

♦ V-series vs. standard Strong Hold Extreme Duty: the Extreme Duty solid-door cabinet (55-series and equivalent) uses the same 8-gauge hinges and cast bronze alloy handle as this ventilated series. Choose the solid-door Extreme Duty for a fully enclosed interior when ventilation is not needed. Choose this ventilated model when airflow or partial visibility is required at the same premium hardware tier.

♦ 4 shelves, all models, no height variation in this lineup. All three models are 78" high with 4 shelves. Width and shelf capacity are the only variables.

♦ Chemical and Solvent Storage Requiring Ventilation: Certain industrial chemicals and solvents require ventilated storage per SDS instructions. The 3-point locking system and premium hardware of the V-series provide access control at the same security level as a solid-door Extreme Duty cabinet while meeting the ventilation requirement. Verify with the applicable SDS that perforated door ventilation is appropriate for the specific materials to be used before use.

♦ Facilities Requiring Heavy-Duty Locking on Ventilated Storage, operations where the standard padlockable slide latch of the Little Giant security cabinet or the lighter locking hardware on other ventilated cabinets does not meet the access control standard required for high-value or regulated stored items, benefit from the premium 3-point locking system on this V-series.
