The Wesco Ergonomic Drum Handler (240150) is a purpose-built, ergonomic solution for lifting, transporting, weighing, and placing drums—especially onto spill pallets and standard pallets where precision and control matter. The handler is designed to work with most 30-, 55-, and 85-gallon drums, including steel, fiber, and poly drums, and with most drums that have locking rings.

At the core of this system is Wesco’s exclusive Auto Grip Lock. Once the drum is engaged, the auto grip lock closes the grip jaws and will not drop the drum until intentionally released. A spring-loaded clamp securely holds any drum rim 3/16" thick or greater, and the design means the operator does not need to physically touch the drum to lift, transport, or place it. That’s a major upgrade in both safety and ergonomics.

For mobility and stability, the unit uses two wheels and two 5" x 2" phenolic swivel casters, along with a floor lock to secure the handler when picking up or setting down drums. A 1" rise/stroke gives precise, controlled lifting, making it easier to set drums accurately on spill pallets, containment decks, or standard pallets without impact or shifting.
