The Akro-Mils 37208 is a mesh straight wall container measuring 15-3/4" long x 11-3/4" wide x 8-1/4" tall on the outside, with a rated load of 30 pounds and a volume of 0.89 cubic feet. It is sold in cartons of 12 in gray.

Straight wall containers have vertical sides instead of tapered ones, so they use the full footprint from bottom to top. That gives you more usable volume than a stack and nest container of the same size, and it lets them cube efficiently on pallets and in trucks. The trade-off is that they do not nest, so they take the same space empty as full. The 37208 has mesh sides and a mesh base, with a .72 x .9 open mesh pattern for visibility and airflow, open handles on all four sides, 1" wide stacking rims and external ribbing for strength.

The 37208 is rated to 30 pounds per container, and a stack can go up to 6 containers high, so the bottom container supports 150 pounds. As the buying guide explains, stack height is governed by what the bottom container can support, not by the load in any one container. The container does not include a lid, and it is not rated FDA compliant, so do not use it for direct food contact.

Selecting the Right Straight Wall Container
◆ Weight, check that your heaviest load stays at or under 30 pounds per container, and that the bottom container in a stack can carry the stack above it, up to 150 pounds total
◆ Fit, compare your parts to the 14" x 10" x 8" inside dimensions, since the inside is smaller than the outside
◆ Part size, the mesh openings are .72 x .9, so small parts can fall through and need a solid-wall container instead
◆ Airflow, mesh sides and base give visibility and airflow, which suits parts that need to drain or dry
◆ Nesting, straight wall containers do not nest, so choose a stack and nest container if empty storage space matters
