Quantum Super Tuff Euro Drawer Bins are injection-molded from virgin-grade high-impact polystyrene, a material chosen for its resistance to oil and chemical exposure that would degrade standard polypropylene bins in manufacturing and maintenance environments. The Euro-style profile is designed for compatibility with both open and closed shelving systems and pick rack systems, integrating into a wider range of existing storage infrastructure than standard open-front bins.

Each drawer includes a full-width back tab that provides an additional retaining surface to prevent contents from spilling when the bin is placed on shelving. The back tab adds 3/8" to the overall installed height. Account for this when planning shelf clearance. Colors available are blue, yellow, gray, and red, supporting color-coded zone or category organization. Compatible dividers are available for each bin model.

Selecting the Right Bin:

♦ Size selection, use outside dimensions to confirm the bin fits the shelving opening or pick rack slot. Use inside dimensions to confirm usable interior clearance for the stored part. The QED401 is the shallowest at 2-1/8" outside height suited for flat parts or tightly spaced shelf tiers. All other models are 4-3/8" to 4-5/8" outside height.

♦ Back tab height addition, the full-width back tab increases the effective installed height by 3/8" beyond the nominal outside height. If the bin's nominal height is 4-5/8", the actual installed height, including the back tab, is 5". Plan shelf spacing accordingly to avoid the bin not fitting due to the tab.

♦ High-impact polystyrene vs. polypropylene, the Super Tuff Euro Drawer Bins use high-impact polystyrene rather than the polypropylene used in most other Quantum bin series. Polystyrene provides better resistance to oils and many industrial chemicals that cause polypropylene to swell or degrade over time. Choose these bins for positions with regular oil or chemical exposure. Choose the polypropylene Quantum Ultra Stack-and-Hang or stackable shelf bins for general parts storage without chemical exposure.

♦ Euro-style compatibility, the Euro profile allows these bins to integrate with pick rack systems and Euro-style shelving that use a specific hook or rail interface. Verify the compatibility of the specific shelving or rack system with the Quantum Euro bin profile before ordering for that application.
