Buckhorn BN-Series 48x45 Heavy Duty Collapsible Bulk Container | 2,000–2,500 lb

The Buckhorn BN-Series is a heavy-duty 48" x45" collapsible bulk container designed for high-throughput manufacturing and distribution environments. Structural foam sidewalls deliver a 2,500-lb capacity (at 25" and 34" heights) without the excess weight of fully solid-wall construction, keeping the container ergonomic under both loaded and empty conditions. An injection-molded, two-piece, welded base provides the structural strength needed for demanding daily stacking and forklift handling.

Non-sequential folding allows the container to be collapsed without following a specific order of operations, reducing downtime during de-stacking and return-trip preparation. The container stacks securely both when upright under load and when collapsed, improving storage density and trailer utilization on return shipments.

Six height options are available. Capacity varies by height: 2,500 lbs at 25" and 34"; 2,000 lbs at 39", 41", 44", and 51". Select the model that meets both the required height and the maximum expected load weight at that height.

♦ BN48453920, 48"L x 45"W x 39"H outside. 44.5"L x 41.5"W x 32"H inside. Capacity 2,000 lbs. Same structural foam and welded base construction. Capacity reduces to 2,000 lbs at this height and above. 

♦ BN48454120, 48"L x 45"W x 41"H outside. 44.5"L x 41.5"W x 34"H inside. Capacity 2,000 lbs. Same specification as BN48453920 at 41" height.

♦ BN48454420, 48"L x 45"W x 44"H outside. 44.5"L x 41.5"W x 37"H inside. Capacity 2,000 lbs. Same specification at 44" height.

♦ BN48455120, 48"L x 45"W x 51"H outside. 44.5"L x 41.5"W x 44"H inside. Capacity 2,000 lbs. The tallest and highest-volume model in the BN-Series lineup.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Capacity vs. height: the 25" and 34" models carry 2,500 lbs. The 39", 41", 44", and 51" models carry 2,000 lbs. If loads regularly approach or exceed 2,000 lbs, the four taller models are not appropriate; use the 34" model at 2,500 lb capacity instead. If loads fall comfortably under 2,000 lbs and greater container volume is needed, the taller models provide the required height.

♦ Non-sequential folding, unlike containers that require a specific side-collapse sequence, the BN-Series folds without a prescribed order of operations. This reduces the time and training required to collapse containers at the end of each cycle, a meaningful advantage in high-throughput operations where containers are collapsed frequently.

♦ BN-Series vs. BH-Series (same brand, 48x40 vs. 48x45 footprint): the BH-Series uses a 48"x40" footprint with three steel runners and steel corner hit plates, with a 2,500 lb capacity, available in 25" and 34" heights only. The BN-Series uses a 48"x45" footprint with structural foam walls and a welded base, offering six height options, including taller configurations up to 51". Choose the BH-Series for the narrower 48x40 footprint and steel corner protection; choose the BN-Series for the wider 48x45 footprint and the extended height range.
