MFG Fiberglass Stack-Only Container – Durable, Stackable Storage for Industrial Applications
MFG fiberglass stack-only containers are glass-reinforced thermoset containers built for industrial environments where heat, heavy loads, and chemical exposure exceed what plastic containers can handle. Unlike nest-stack containers that alternate stacking and nesting orientations, these stack only in one position, which simplifies handling in high-throughput environments where containers are moved quickly and consistently.
The fiberglass construction allows these containers to receive hot parts directly from machining operations, presses, furnaces, and molding equipment without warping or deforming. They resist oils, greases, cutting fluids, mild solvents, and the chemicals commonly present in manufacturing and finishing operations. Smooth interior surfaces support cleanroom and automated handling use where particle generation and dimensional consistency matter.
Forty-six models are available covering footprints from 13" to 37.5" long and depths from 1/4" to 19". Prices are shown by manufacturer model number for straightforward competitor comparison.
Stack Only vs. Nest-Stack -- Which Is Right for Your Operation:
MFG offers two container series for fiberglass industrial totes. Nest-stack containers switch between stacking and nesting orientations with a 180-degree turn, significantly reducing the empty storage footprint. Stack-only containers stack in a single fixed orientation and do not nest, which means empty containers occupy the same footprint as full ones.
Stack-only containers are the correct choice when your operation does not have a significant empty container storage problem, when containers cycle quickly enough that empties rarely accumulate, when your workflow cannot accommodate the orientation step of nest-stack containers, or when the specific footprint and depth you need are only available in the stack-only series. If empty container storage space is a concern, the MFG fiberglass nest-stack series covers many of the same footprint ranges with nesting capability.
Where MFG Stack-Only Containers Are Most Commonly Used:
♦ Hot parts handling -- Forgings, castings, stampings, machined parts, and molded components moving directly from production equipment into staging or cooling areas. Fiberglass does not deform or release chemicals when receiving hot parts the way thermoplastic containers can.
♦ Foundry and forge operations—dense abrasive materials and high-temperature environments that can damage plastic containers within weeks — are standard service conditions for MFG fiberglass.
♦ Cleanroom and precision manufacturing -- Smooth, non-particle-generating surfaces and consistent dimensional stability support cleanroom storage and automated pick systems where container geometry must stay within tolerance over years of use.
♦ Chemical processing and finishing -- Parts exposed to oils, cutting fluids, plating solutions, and cleaning solvents can be staged and transported in fiberglass containers that resist these exposures, whereas plastic containers degrade.
♦ Automated storage and retrieval systems -- Fiberglass containers maintain their dimensions over years of high-cycle use, which is critical for ASRS compatibility where containers must interface with fixed guides and pick points reliably.
