The Hallowell U3848-1 Premium Steel Locker is the big-capacity wardrobe locker built for users who carry more—larger bags, bulky uniforms, PPE, equipment, and outerwear. This model comes in a 3-wide, single-tier configuration with classic louvered doors, making it a go-to choice for schools, gyms, employee locker rooms, public safety departments, and light industrial environments that need dependable storage with extra room per opening.
Each opening measures 18" wide x 24" deep x 72" high, delivering generous storage that standard lockers simply can’t match. The 16-gauge louvered steel door promotes airflow, helping reduce odor and moisture buildup. At the same time, the continuous piano hinge supports smooth, long-life operation and consistent door alignment in high-traffic areas.
For security and a more polished look, the U3848-1 features a stainless steel recessed handle with multi-point gravity lift-type latching. The recessed handle design also helps protect the locker finish from padlock wear, keeping the locker bank looking cleaner over the years of use.
Every unit includes aluminum number plates (#1-up) with mounting hardware—black face with silver etched numerals. If your project requires a specific layout, request a custom consecutive numbering sequence when ordering (must match the number of doors/openings ordered). Locks are not included, allowing you to standardize on a single lock type across your facility.
Available fully assembled or knock-down for assembly at destination, depending on access, freight, and installation needs.
