Logitrans HLIP Series Stainless Steel Thork Skid Lift

Logitrans HLIP Series Stainless Steel Thork Skid Lift | Food, Pharma, and Washdown Environments

The Logitrans HLIP Series is a stainless steel manual Thork skid lift designed for environments requiring corrosion-resistant equipment that can withstand washdown, sanitizing agents, and the hygienic demands of food processing, pharmaceutical, beverage, and medical device production areas. While the standard Logitrans HL-Series is built from painted steel for general industrial use, the HLIP (Panther Inox Plus) is constructed entirely from stainless steel. "Inox" is the European designation for stainless steel (from the French "inoxydable") and is commonly used in specifications for food and pharmaceutical equipment.

Like the standard HL-Series, the HLIP lifts open-bottom pallets and skids that a standard pallet truck cannot engage. Forks are 47" long. Capacity is height-dependent: 3,300 lbs to 18.5" and 2,200 lbs to the full 31.5" maximum lift height. Rounded corners minimize contact damage to the surroundings during maneuvering. Two models are available, differing only in fork width.

The stainless construction carries a significant price premium over the standard HL-Series. If the application is in a standard industrial environment that does not require corrosion resistance or washdown capability, the standard Logitrans HL-Series provides identical lift performance at a lower cost.

Models and Specifications:

♦ HLIP-21, 21.25" W, 47" L forks. Maximum lift height 31.5". Capacity 3,300 lbs to 18.5" / 2,200 lbs to 31.5". Stainless steel construction. Standard fork width for most skid applications.

♦ HLIP-27, 27" W, 47" L forks. Maximum lift height 31.5". Capacity 3,300 lbs to 18.5" / 2,200 lbs to 31.5". Stainless steel construction. Wider fork spread for larger skids or applications where additional lateral support is needed.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Fork width, 21.25" vs. 27", the HLIP-21 is suited for skids with standard entry openings. The HLIP-27 provides a wider fork spread for larger or wider skids, where the additional support improves load stability. Both models are otherwise identical in capacity, fork length, and lift height.

♦ Stainless vs. standard HL-Series, choose the HLIP when the operating environment requires stainless steel, specifically food processing, pharmaceutical production, beverage, medical device manufacturing, or any area subject to regular washdown with water, sanitizers, or cleaning chemicals. For standard warehouse, factory, or toolroom use where washdown is not required, the standard Logitrans HL-Series provides the same forklift capability in painted steel at a significantly lower cost.

♦ Height-dependent capacity, the full 3,300 lb capacity applies only at heights up to 18.5". At the full 31.5" maximum height, capacity is 2,200 lbs. Plan load weights accordingly when lifting heavy skids to full height.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Food Processing and Meat Packing, food processing plants and meat packing facilities use the HLIP to move and position skids and open-bottom pallets in production and cold storage areas where painted steel equipment would corrode under repeated high-pressure washdown with water and sanitizing agents.

♦ Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Production, pharmaceutical and biomedical manufacturing environments with strict sanitation protocols and corrosion-resistance requirements use the HLIP for skid handling in classified production areas where standard steel equipment would not meet facility material specifications.

♦ Beverage and Dairy Facilities: beverage bottling and dairy production facilities with wet floors, humidity, and regular chemical cleaning schedules use stainless-steel material-handling equipment throughout the production area, including skid lifts for moving palletized ingredients and packaging materials within the production zone.

♦ Hospital and Medical Sterile Processing, hospital sterile processing, and central supply departments handling equipment and supply pallets in areas requiring corrosion-resistant, washdown-compatible equipment, use the HLIP where standard carbon steel equipment would degrade under the disinfection protocols required in healthcare material handling areas.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Logitrans HLIP Series Thork skid lift?
The HLIP Series is a stainless steel manual skid lift built for environments requiring corrosion-resistant equipment that withstands washdown, sanitizing agents, and the hygienic demands of food processing, pharmaceutical, beverage, and medical device production. Forks are 47" long, and capacity is height-dependent. CustomMHS is an authorized Logitrans distributor, and all purchases include the manufacturer's factory warranty.
What does "Inox" mean in the model name?
Inox is the European designation for stainless steel, taken from the French word inoxydable. It appears throughout specifications for food and pharmaceutical equipment, so a model labeled Panther Inox Plus is the stainless version of the same product line. That naming is worth knowing when comparing spec sheets, since not every manufacturer spells out "stainless steel" in the model designation.
What does a skid lift do that a pallet truck cannot?
The HLIP lifts open-bottom pallets and skids, which a standard pallet truck cannot engage because there is no closed deck for the forks to lift against. Facilities receiving material on skids either need this equipment or have to transfer loads to a standard pallet first, which adds a handling step and the lifting that goes with it.
Why is capacity listed at two different heights?
Capacity drops as the load rises, because the geometry of the lift changes what the mechanism can support. The HLIP handles 3,300 pounds up to 18.5" and 2,200 pounds at the full 31.5" maximum height. Plan load weights against the height you actually lift to, since a load within the rating at 18" may exceed it at full extension.
Which fork width should I choose?
Two models are offered and they differ only in fork width. The HLIP-21 at 21.25" suits skids with standard entry openings. The HLIP-27 at 27" gives a wider fork spread for larger or wider skids, where the additional support improves load stability. Capacity, fork length, and lift height are identical on both.
When should I choose the standard HL-Series instead?
Stainless construction carries a significant price premium, and it only earns that premium where the environment requires it. Choose the HLIP for food processing, pharmaceutical production, beverage, medical device manufacturing, or any area subject to regular washdown with water, sanitizers, or cleaning chemicals. For standard warehouse, factory, or toolroom use, the painted steel HL-Series delivers identical lift performance at a lower cost.
