Kadon Small Part Wash Baskets – Precision Cleaning for Delicate Components

Kadon small-part wash baskets are stainless-steel parts-cleaning baskets sized for precision components. All models share the same inside dimensions (9.5" long x 6.5" wide x 5.5" high) and are built for use in aqueous parts washers, ultrasonic cleaners, spray washers, and other industrial cleaning systems where chemical resistance, drainage, and long service life are required.

Ten models are available across four wire and perforation patterns and two insert configurations. The two selection decisions are the wire pattern and whether you need an insert. Prices are shown by manufacturer model number for straightforward competitor comparison.

Choosing the Right Wire Pattern:

The wire pattern determines how well the wash solution drains through and contacts the parts. Open area percentage indicates how much of the basket surface allows fluid flow—higher open area means greater exposure to the cleaning solution and faster drainage.

♦ 3/16" x 5/8" rectangular stainless wire -- 56% open area. Wider spacing, good drainage for larger parts, less retention of very small chips or debris.

♦ 3/16" round perforations at .219" staggered centers -- 66% open area. Highest open area in the range. Best for maximum contact with the wash solution and fastest drainage.

♦ 1/8" round perforations at .156" staggered centers -- 58% open area. Smaller perforations retain finer debris and smaller particles while still providing good drainage and access to the cleaning solution.

♦ .023" wire diameter mesh -- 52% or 60% open area depending on the mesh configuration. The finer mesh retains the smallest parts and finest debris. Choose based on the size of your smallest part and whether any components could pass through coarser patterns.

With Insert vs. Without Insert:

Insert models include a liner that fits inside the basket. The insert serves one purpose: it allows compression or locking lids to work correctly. With the insert in place, a compression lid secures contents at the top of the basket. Without the insert, a locking lid can secure across the full basket opening instead.

If you use compression lids in your cleaning process, choose one with an insert. If you use standard non-locking lids or no lid, choose the option without an insert. Without an insert, models are priced lower than the equivalent with an insert configuration.
