Lift Products MMS Series Tote Box Scissor Lift Carts

The Lift Products MMS Series scissor lift carts are manual hydraulic units designed specifically for tote bin and container handling. Unlike standard scissor lift carts with platforms proportioned for pallets or general loads, the MMS Series platforms are wider than they are long (24" wide x 20" long for the MMS-20; 25" wide x 22.75" long for the MMS-30) to match the footprint of common tote bins and provide stable support during transport and lifting. The fold-up pump pedal keeps the cart's overall footprint compact when not in use.

The chrome-plated hydraulic lift cylinder includes overload protection. Poly wheels and brakes on the swivel casters provide mobility and stable, stationary positioning. Both models are well-suited for loading totes from floor-level sources without ramps or elevated loading surfaces.

Two models are available: the MMS-20 (440 lb, 24" x 20", up to 33") and the MMS-30 (660 lb, 25" x 22.75", up to 53"). The MMS-30's 53" maximum lift height is notably high for a standard single-scissor cart at this capacity, suited for elevated conveyor loading and high-position transfers.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Capacity and platform size, the MMS-20 handles up to 440 lbs on a 24" x 20" platform. The MMS-30 handles up to 660 lbs on a 25" x 22.75" platform. Choose based on the weight of the loaded totes typically handled. The MMS-30 platform is slightly larger and rated for heavier tote loads.

♦ Maximum lift height, the MMS-20 reaches 33" maximum, sufficient for most bench and workstation transfers. The MMS-30 reaches 53" maximum, suited for elevated conveyors, higher pick positions, or applications where the MMS-20's 33" maximum falls short.

♦ Tote box vs. general-purpose scissor lift carts, the MMS Series platforms are proportioned for tote bin footprints. If the application involves general loads (boxes, parts, fixtures) rather than tote bins, a standard-proportion scissor lift cart from the MML Series or another brand may provide a better platform match for the load footprint.

♦ Floor-level loading, both models lower to approximately 8" among the lowest in the scissor lift cart category -- making them well suited for sliding totes off floor-level pallets or ground-level storage without requiring a raised loading surface.

♦ Order Picking and Kitting, order picking and kitting operations where workers move tote bins between pick faces and packing stations use the MMS Series to transport loaded totes and raise them to ergonomic height at the packing or kitting station, eliminating repeated lifting and bending when handling multiple totes per shift.

♦ Assembly Parts Supply, assembly lines where parts are stored in tote bins use the MMS Series to deliver loaded totes from storage to the assembly position at working height, keeping parts accessible at the operator level without floor-level bending.

♦ Distribution and Sortation, distribution operations, sorting tote-based inventory use the MMS-30's extended 53" lift range to transfer totes between conveyor heights that exceed the range of standard-height scissor lift carts.

♦ Warehouse Tote Replenishment, warehouse operations replenishing shelf-based tote bin locations from floor-level pallet stock use the floor-proximate 8" lowered height to slide loaded totes directly from pallets onto the cart platform for transport to the replenishment position.
