Presto-Lift Manual Scissor Lift Cart

Presto-Lift Manual Scissor Lift Cart

Presto-Lift XP and WXP Series Manual Scissor Lift Carts | 24" or 36" Wide, 600 to 2,000 lb

The Presto-Lift XP and WXP Series are industrial-grade manual hydraulic scissor lift carts designed for demanding material-handling environments that require consistent, high-capacity lifting performance over a long service life. The platform rises via a foot-operated hydraulic pump and lowers via a controlled-release handle. Heavy-duty casters allow the loaded cart to be repositioned between workstations, loading positions, and transfer points.

Two series are available: the XP Series with a 24" wide platform and the WXP Series with a 36" wide platform. Platform lengths are 32", 36", or 48", depending on the model. Capacities range from 600 to 2,000 lbs. Maximum lift heights range from 33" to 53-1/2", depending on the model and platform length. All models lower to approximately 9-1/4" except the 2,000 lb XP models, which lower to 17-1/2".

Selection Guide:

♦ Series, XP (24" wide) vs. WXP (36" wide), the XP Series platform is 24" wide, suited for standard cart aisle widths and loads with a narrower footprint. The WXP Series platform is 36" wide, providing a larger load surface for wider loads or applications where a more stable base is needed. The WXP Series is available in 1,000 and 1,500 lb capacities only it does not offer a 600 lb or 2,000 lb option.

♦ Platform length: 32", 36", or 48". The 32" length is available only in the XP24-600 (600 lb, 24" wide). The 36" length (XP24 and WXP24 series) provides a mid-size platform suited to most standard load footprints. The 48" length (XP36 and WXP36 series) provides a longer platform for extended loads and also achieves the higher maximum lift heights in the lineup (45" to 53-1/2").

♦ Capacity, 600, 1,000, 1,500, or 2,000 lb; the 600 lb option is available only in the XP24 series (smallest platform). The 1,000- and 1,500-lb options are available across both the XP and WXP series at all platform lengths. The 2,000 lb option is available only in the XP24 and XP36 series (24" wide). Select a model rated comfortably above the actual load weight.

♦ Maximum lift height, the XP24 models (36" long platform) reach 33" to 41-1/2" maximum depending on capacity. The XP36 and WXP36 models (48" long platform) reach 45" to 53-1/2" maximum significantly higher than the 36" platform models. Choose the 48" platform length when a higher maximum lift is required, such as for elevated conveyors or high benches.

♦ Lowered height for the 2,000 lb models, the XP24-20 and XP36-20 (2,000 lb) lower to 17-1/2" -- notably higher than the 9-1/4" lowered height of all other models. Verify that a 17-1/2" lowered height is compatible with the load source before ordering the 2,000 lb models.

♦ WXP Series for wider load stability, the 36" wide WXP platform provides a more stable base for wide or irregularly shaped loads that could tip or shift on the narrower 24" XP platform. If load width or stability is a concern, the WXP models provide additional lateral support.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Assembly and Work Positioning: production assembly areas use Presto-Lift carts as mobile, height-adjustable work platforms to position heavy assemblies, fixtures, or components at the operator's working height for precise, strain-free assembly at varying heights throughout the production process.

♦ Heavy Load Transfer Between Conveyors and Benches, industrial operations transferring heavy loads (1,000 to 2,000 lbs) between floor level, conveyors, and work benches use the high-capacity Presto-Lift XP and WXP models where the load weight exceeds the range of lighter-duty scissor cart alternatives.

♦ Die, and Tooling Handling, stamping, molding, and fabrication operations use the higher-capacity XP models to transport and position heavy dies and tooling at machine bed height, reducing manual lift strain and improving precision during die change and setup operations.

♦ Maintenance and Equipment Positioning, maintenance departments use Presto-Lift carts to transport and raise heavy components, motors, and assemblies to the installation height needed for service operations, with the 2,000 lb models covering the heaviest maintenance positioning tasks.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a manual scissor lift cart?
The Presto-Lift manual scissor lift cart is an industrial hydraulic lift table designed for ergonomic lifting and mobile material handling. It combines a durable platform with a manual lifting system so loads can be raised to a better working height. These carts are widely used in warehouses and production environments where simple, reliable lifting is needed.
How does the Presto-Lift hydraulic lift system work?
The platform is raised with a foot-operated hydraulic pump and lowered using a controlled release handle. This allows operators to position loads smoothly and safely during transfers between workstations. The hydraulic design provides stable lifting performance for repeated daily use.
What are common applications for Presto-Lift manual scissor lift carts?
These carts are commonly used for assembly support, packaging operations, parts staging, and general material movement. They help transfer boxes, totes, and components between benches, conveyors, and staging areas without heavy manual lifting. Many teams also use them as mobile work platforms for improved efficiency.
Why choose Presto-Lift over a standard manual lift cart?
Presto-Lift carts are known for rugged construction, smooth operation, and long-term industrial reliability. They’re built for demanding environments where consistency and safety matter. Choosing Presto often means fewer maintenance issues and better performance over years of use.
How does the Presto-Lift cart improve workplace ergonomics and safety?
By lifting loads to the proper working height, it reduces bending, reaching, and strain during repetitive handling tasks. Controlled lowering also improves stability and minimizes the risk of sudden drops. This creates a safer workflow while helping workers stay productive and comfortable.
What should I consider when selecting a Presto-Lift manual scissor lift cart?
Key factors include load capacity, lift height range, platform size, caster durability, and the type of materials you handle most often. You should also consider how frequently the cart will be used and whether maneuverability is important in tight spaces. Selecting the right model ensures dependable lifting and ergonomic benefits in daily operations.
