Lift Products MJHLS Manual Skid Lift | 2,200 lb, 4-Wheel Stability, Optional Work Platform

The Lift Products MJHLS is a foot-pump-operated manual skid lift designed to lift skids, open-bottom pallets, and die-style loads in factories, warehouses, toolrooms, and machine shops. The chain-over-sprocket drive mechanism provides a 2:1 lift ratio, which reduces the physical pump effort required per inch of lift compared to a direct single-stage hydraulic cylinder. The chain mechanism amplifies each pump stroke, making it less demanding to raise heavy loads. A single-stage lift cylinder handles the hydraulic function. The design provides 4-wheel stability with standard poly wheels, casters, and foot brakes.

An optional slide-on platform can be added to convert the open-fork configuration into a solid work surface, extending the unit's versatility for general-purpose lifting and staging tasks beyond skid and pallet handling.

♦ MJHLS-N22, 20.75" W, 45.5" L forks. Travel 3.25" to 32.75". Capacity 2,200 lbs. Standard/narrow fork width. Chain-over-sprocket 2:1 lift ratio. Foot pump. Poly wheels, casters, and foot brakes. An optional slide-on platform is available.

♦ MJHLS-W22, 27.25" W, 45.5" L forks. Travel 3.25" to 32.68". Capacity 2,200 lbs. Wide fork option. Same specification as MJHLS-N22 with wider fork spread for broader pallets and skids.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Fork width, 20.75" vs. 27.25", the MJHLS-N22 uses 20.75" wide forks suited for standard skid and pallet entry widths. The MJHLS-W22 uses 27.25" wide forks for wider skids, wider pallets, or applications where the broader fork spread provides better lateral load stability. Both models are otherwise identical in capacity, travel, and mechanism.

♦ MJHLS vs. Bishamon LV-Series: both are manual, fork-style skid lifts with similar capacities and travel ranges. The MJHLS chain-over-sprocket 2:1 lift ratio reduces pump effort, which may be a meaningful advantage for high-cycle applications or heavier loads. The MJHLS also offers an optional slide-on work platform. The Bishamon LV-Series offers a 1,000-lb capacity option and uses twin lifting chains without a sprocket-ratio mechanism. Choose based on the specific capacity needed and whether the reduced-effort chain-over-sprocket design is a priority.

♦ Optional slide-on platform: if the unit will be used for both skid/pallet lifting and as a general-purpose work surface, the optional slide-on platform converts the MJHLS to a solid-deck lift extending its utility beyond skid handling to assembly support, parts staging, and bench-height work positioning.

♦ Toolroom and Machine Shop Die Handling: use the MJHLS to lift and position dies, molds, and heavy tooling stored on skids; use the 2,200 lb capacity and near-floor-level engagement to move heavy dies from storage to machine position without powered lifting equipment.

♦ Warehouse and Distribution Skid Handling, warehouse operations handling goods stored on skids or open-bottom pallets use the MJHLS as a supplement to standard pallet trucks, covering load types and applications where a standard pallet truck cannot engage the load correctly.

♦ Factory and Production Support, production facilities using the MJHLS to stage raw material skids at the production position and return empty skids to storage, use the 2:1 lift ratio to reduce operator effort during the high-repetition pump cycles involved in multi-shift production support.

♦ Maintenance Heavy Component Positioning, maintenance departments using the MJHLS to position heavy machinery components, motors, and subassemblies staged on skids at maintenance positions use the optional slide-on platform to convert the unit to a solid work surface after the load is lifted to working height.
