Presto-Lift Floor Level Scissor Lift and Tilt Tables

Presto-Lift Floor Level Scissors Lift & Tilt Table | Ergonomic Lift & Tilt at Ground Level

The Presto-Lift XZT is a floor-level scissor lift table with an integrated powered tilt function. Like the XZ flat-platform floor-level table, it uses a pan-style platform that lowers to 3/8" above the floor (1/2" on the 4,000-lb models) for direct hand pallet truck loading without a ramp. Unlike the XZ, once the load is raised to working height, the platform tilts toward the operator, bringing the top layer of the load forward and eliminating the need to lean over the pallet to reach items at the back.

This combination of floor-level loading and powered tilt makes the XZT particularly effective for pick-and-pack, layer-by-layer palletizing, and any repetitive task where operators work from a full pallet load over the course of a shift. The premium over the standard XZ flat platform reflects the cost of the tilt mechanism. Four models cover two platform widths and two capacity tiers.

Choosing the Right Model:

All four models share the same 48" long platform. Platform width and capacity are the two selection criteria. The tilt angle specification—contact us or verify the degree of tilt on each model in Presto's spec sheet before ordering if your application requires a specific angle.

♦ XZT44-20: 44" x 48" platform, 3/8" to 33-3/8" travel, 2,000 lb capacity.

♦ XZT44-40: 44" x 48" platform, 1/2" to 33-1/2" travel, 4,000 lb capacity.

♦ XZT50-20: 50" x 48" platform, 3/8" to 33-3/8" travel, 2,000 lb capacity.

♦ XZT50-40: 50" x 48" platform, 1/2" to 33-1/2" travel, 4,000 lb capacity.

The 44" wide platform accommodates standard 40" x 48" GMA pallets. The 50" wide platform provides additional side clearance for wider loads or easier pallet jack access. Select capacity based on your heaviest expected load. Note that the 4,000 lb models lower to 1/2" rather than 3/8" due to the heavier scissor mechanism.

Where Floor Level Lift and Tilt Tables Are Commonly Used:

♦ Pick-and-pack from full pallet loads: Tilting the load forward after raising it to working height keeps items within reach as layers are removed, reducing leaning and reaching for the full duration of the pick cycle.

♦ Layer-by-layer palletizing: Building a pallet by layer is faster and more controlled when the load tilts toward the operator rather than requiring the worker to step around the pallet or reach across it.

♦ Machine and conveyor feeding: Tilting bulk containers or tote loads toward the infeed point reduces the distance and angle an operator must reach to transfer parts into the machine or conveyor.

♦ Facilities without forklifts: The 3/8" lowered height allows a hand pallet truck to load the table independently, and the combined lift and tilt functions give a single operator full ergonomic positioning capability without any other equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Presto-Lift floor level lift and tilt table designed to do?
This table lifts and tilts loads from ground level, allowing operators to work at a more natural height and angle. It is built for tasks like palletizing, assembly, staging, and machine feeding, where reaching and bending slow people down. Bringing the work to the worker helps reduce strain and makes handling bulky items feel more controlled. It is a strong fit for production areas that want a cleaner, more ergonomic workflow.
How does a floor-level design improve daily material handling?
A floor-level platform makes loading and unloading easier without the added hassle of a raised deck. That means smoother handoffs in tight spaces and fewer awkward transitions when positioning pallets, bins, or containers. It also supports a more predictable workflow because the equipment remains in place and the load is delivered to you. In busy operations, that consistency matters as much as the lift itself.
Why is the tilt function a big deal for ergonomics?
Tilting brings the top layer of parts closer, reducing the need for workers to constantly lean over the load. That can reduce shoulder and lower back stress during repetitive pick-and-place tasks. It also improves visibility and access, enhancing accuracy and speed in assembly or kitting. In short, tilt turns a lifting platform into a true workstation helper.
Where do companies typically use a lift and tilt table like this?
You will see these in warehouses, fabrication shops, packaging lines, and assembly cells where loads need frequent access from one side. They are especially useful near conveyors, workbenches, and machines that need steady feeding or unloading. They can also help in areas where space is limited, and you want to keep aisles clear. If your team handles heavy products by hand at any step, this is worth considering.
What should I consider when choosing the right configuration?
Start with what you handle most often, including typical load size and how you want operators to approach the platform. Consider the lift range you need and whether you want the load tilted for part picking, packing, or machine access. Also consider control style and how the table will be powered and placed in the workflow. The best setup is the one that matches the task, not the one with the biggest specs.
