Logitrans Fork Over and Straddle Leg Reel Rotators

Logitrans Fork Over Design and Straddle Leg Reel Rotators

Logitrans Reel Rotators lift, position, and rotate wire and cable reels with configurations ranging from fully manual to fully powered, so you can match the equipment to how often reels move and how much operator effort you want to take out of the job. Choose Fork Over for standard forklift-style access, or Straddle Legs for added stability when the reel needs to sit lower or the aisle layout calls for a wider stance.

Models and Specifications:

Fork Over Design
♦ LFRRM 1001, Manual Lift, Manual Push, Manual Rotation, Manual Clamping.
♦ ELFRRM 1001, Electric Lift, Manual Push, Manual Rotation, Electric Clamping.
♦ ELFRR 1001, Electric Lift, Manual Push, Electric Rotation, Electric Clamping.
♦ SELFRR Maxi 1003, Electric Lift, Electric Push, Electric Rotation, Electric Clamping.
♦ RL-500 Reel Lifter, purpose-built for safe, controlled positioning of wire and cable reels.

Straddle Legs Design
♦ LFSRRM 1001, Manual Lift, Manual Push, Manual Rotation, Manual Clamping.
♦ ELFSRRM 1001, Electric Lift, Manual Push, Manual Rotation, Electric Clamping.
♦ ELFSRR 1001, Electric Lift, Manual Push, Electric Rotation, Electric Clamping.
♦ SELFSRRE Maxi 1003, Electric Lift, Electric Push, Electric Rotation, Electric Clamping.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Leg style: choose Fork Over for standard access, or Straddle Legs for added stability with the reel positioned lower.
♦ Automation level: choose from fully manual up to fully powered lift, push, rotation, and clamping based on reel weight and handling frequency.
♦ Reel positioning: Use the RL-500 Reel Lifter specifically for controlled, precise positioning that minimizes strain and reduces the risk of dropped reels.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Wire and Cable Manufacturing, reel rotators support safe, controlled positioning during production.
♦ High-Frequency Reel Handling, fully powered models reduce operator effort across repeated tasks.
♦ Tight Aisle Layouts, straddle-leg models add stability where a wider stance is needed.
♦ Reel Transport and Staging, the RL-500 Reel Lifter reduces strain during repetitive reel positioning.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a rotator with a non-adjustable box holder?
A rotator lifts a box or crate and then tilts and rotates it, so material can be poured, emptied, or presented at a working angle instead of being lifted out by hand. The non-adjustable version uses a fixed holder sized for one box dimension rather than a clamp that adapts to different widths. CustomMHS carries the full line of Logitrans rotators, backed by the manufacturer's warranty.
Why choose a fixed holder instead of an adjustable one?
When an operation runs the same box or crate size every day, a fixed holder grips that size directly with no adjustment step and no chance of being set wrong before a lift. The mechanism is also simpler, with fewer moving parts to check or maintain. If your operation handles a range of box widths, an adjustable holder is the appropriate choice, since a fixed holder only fits what it was built for.
What is the difference between fork over and straddle leg models?
Fork over models use standard forklift-style access, where the forks slide under the load from the front. Straddle leg models place support legs on either side of the load, which adds stability and allows the load to sit lower to the floor. Choose fork over for standard access in open areas, and straddle legs when a wider stance suits the aisle layout or when a lower load position improves handling.
Should I choose manual push or powered drive?
Travel distance and lift frequency decide it. Manual push models such as the ELFR-1001 and ELFSR-1001 combine powered lift with operator-pushed travel, which is practical for lower-frequency use over short distances. Powered drive models including the SELFR-1003 and SELFSR-1003 add electric travel, which matters when operators cover longer runs or rotate loads repeatedly across a shift.
How do rotators help your facility?
Rotating a container removes the manual emptying step, so material comes out under the machine's control rather than through operators reaching into a box and lifting parts out one handful at a time. That eliminates a repetitive bending and reaching motion that is a common source of back and shoulder strain in filling, emptying, and inspection work. Presenting contents at a tilt also improves visibility during inspection and speeds up decanting into a hopper, bin, or line feed position. For operations running a single consistent box size, the fixed holder keeps setup out of the cycle entirely, so every lift starts the same way regardless of who is operating the unit.
