Monoflo Attached Lid Plastic Containers | Reusable Stack-Nest Totes for Secure Logistics & Distribution

Monoflo DC Series containers are reusable, attached-lid totes that stack securely when loaded and nest compactly when empty. The integrated lid stays permanently with the container, eliminating lost or mismatched lids throughout the distribution cycle. Multi-fingered lid engagement keeps contents secure during conveyor handling, cross-dock transfers, and store delivery without additional sealing steps.

A traction bottom supports stable movement on conveyors and reduces sliding during merges and diverts. Solid nesting stops increase empty stack height and prevent wedging when totes are returned empty. Textured label panels on all models support identification and routing across pick, pack, sort, and staging operations.

Thirteen models are available in footprints from 19.6" to 28.1" long and 7.3" to 17.2" deep. Hinge pin material is plastic on most models and metal on three higher-cycle models. Prices are shown by manufacturer model number for straightforward competitor comparison.

Choosing the Right Model:

Select the outside footprint that fits your conveyor, sortation system, vehicle, or rack configuration, then choose the depth based on your typical load height.

Small Footprint -- approx. 19.6" x 11.6" outside:
♦ DC2012-07 SP -- 7.3" deep, 16.5" x 8.7" inside, plastic hinge. Compact, attached-lid tote for smaller loads and tight conveyor widths.

Mid Footprint -- approx. 21.9" x 15" outside:
♦ DC2115-09 SP -- 9.7" deep, 18.9" x 12" inside, plastic hinge. Standard depth for most general distribution applications in this footprint.
♦ DC2115-09 HP -- 9.5" deep, 19.1" x 13.2" inside, plastic hinge. Slightly wider inside dimension than the SP model at the same depth. Choose based on your load width requirement.
♦ DC2115-12SP -- 12.8" deep, 18.9" x 12.7" inside, plastic hinge. Added depth for taller loads. Verify pricing against your Monoflo price sheet before ordering.
♦ DC2115-12HP -- 12.8" deep, 18.6" x 12.8" inside, plastic hinge. Same depth as the 12SP with slightly different inside dimensions. Verify pricing before ordering.
♦ DC2115-17HP -- 17.2" deep, 18.6" x 13" inside, plastic hinge. Deepest model in the 21.9" footprint. Best for tall loads or high-volume picks per tote.

Narrow-Long Footprint -- approx. 22.3" x 13" outside:
♦ DC2213-12 SP -- 13.4" deep, 18.9" x 10.9" inside, plastic hinge. Narrower footprint for applications where width is constrained but depth capacity is needed.

Extended Footprints:
♦ DC2515-14 SP -- 25.3" x 16.3" outside, 13.9" deep, 22" x 13.3" inside, plastic hinge. Larger format for higher-volume loads or operations consolidating more product per tote.
♦ DC2717-12 SP -- 27.3" x 17.2" outside, 12.6" deep, 23.7" x 13.9" inside, plastic hinge. Wide format for broad loads or operations requiring more lateral space per tote.
♦ DC2820-15 HP -- 28.1" x 20.8" outside, 15.6" deep, 25" x 18" inside, plastic hinge. Largest model on this page. Best for the highest volume per tote in high-throughput distribution operations.

Metal Hinge Pin Models:
♦ DC1813-15 SM -- 17.4" x 12.9" outside, 13.6" deep, 14" x 10.5" inside, metal hinge. Metal hinge pin provides added durability for higher-cycle or heavier-use applications. SM configuration.
♦ DC1813-15-HM -- Same outside and inside dimensions as the SM model, metal hinge. HM configuration. Contact us to confirm the specific difference between SM and HM variants for this footprint before ordering.
♦ DC2420-12-SM -- 23.8" x 19.2" outside, 12.5" deep, 20.5" x 16.5" inside, metal hinge. Larger metal hinge model for high-cycle distribution programs requiring added hinge durability.

Plastic vs. Metal Hinge Pin -- Which Is Right for Your Operation:

Most models use a plastic hinge pin, which provides reliable performance in standard distribution, fulfillment, and retail replenishment cycles. Metal hinge pin models (DC1813-15 SM, DC1813-15-HM, and DC2420-12-SM) are designed for operations with higher daily cycle counts or heavier loads where the hinge is subject to more stress over time. If your containers are opened and closed dozens of times per shift or consistently carry heavy loads, the metal hinge models are worth evaluating for a longer service life. Contact us if you need help determining which hinge type fits your workload.

Where Monoflo Attached Lid Totes Are Most Commonly Used:

♦ Retail replenishment and store delivery -- Attached lids keep contents secure from DC to store shelf. The stack-nest design reduces empty return cubes on backhaul trips, lowering freight cost per cycle.
♦ E-commerce fulfillment -- Consistent footprints and secure lids support conveyor sortation and automated handling systems. Traction bottoms reduce movement on high-speed conveyors.
♦ Third-party logistics and cross-dock operations -- Durable reusable construction holds up through repeated handling cycles across multiple customers and facilities without the consistency failures of corrugated cartons.
♦ Closed-loop distribution programs -- When totes cycle between a fixed set of origins and destinations, their reusable construction and attached lids eliminate packaging procurement, waste, and lid-management costs associated with disposable alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are Monoflo attached lid plastic containers, and how do they differ from standard totes?
Monoflo attached-lid plastic containers are reusable stack-nest totes designed for distribution and fulfillment workflows. They stack securely when loaded, then nest when empty to save space. The attached lids stay with the container, reducing lost lids and mismatched parts. Many facilities use them to replace corrugated cartons in closed-loop logistics. The result is more consistent handling and fewer packaging failures over repeated cycles.
How do reusable stack-nest totes reduce costs in logistics and distribution?
Reusable stack-nest totes cut packaging spend by reducing the need for one-time corrugated cartons. Nesting when empty reduces the return-trip cube, which can lower freight costs and free trailer space. In the warehouse, nested empties reclaim floor space and make staging lanes easier to manage. Their durability reduces replacement frequency compared with lighter packaging options. Over time, these gains add up across high-volume shipping and return streams.
What features help improve shipment security and reduce product loss?
Multi-fingered attached lids help keep contents enclosed during transport and handling. Reinforced tie holes reduce lid damage when containers are secured with seals or ties. A secure closure also limits accidental spills during conveyor transfers or cross-dock moves. Textured label panels improve identification, helping prevent routing and picking errors. Together, these features support tighter control from pick to delivery and backhaul.
How do these containers support high-speed handling in fulfillment operations?
A traction bottom design helps maintain grip on conveyors and reduces sliding during merges and diverts. Solid nesting stops increase empty stack height and help prevent wedging when totes are nested. Secure stacking improves stability on carts, pallets, and staging racks during peak throughput. Attached lids reduce the time spent finding, pairing, or replacing separate covers. These details improve flow while maintaining consistent container handling across shifts.
Where are Monoflo attached-lid containers typically used, and what do they carry?
They are commonly used in retail replenishment, e-commerce fulfillment, and third-party logistics networks. Typical loads include picked items, case-break goods, apparel, health and beauty products, and small parts. They work well for store deliveries because they protect goods while simplifying returns of empties. Many operations use them for inbound consolidation, sortation, and outbound staging. They also fit closed-loop programs that depend on repeated cycles and reliable container tracking.
