Presto Lifts Foot-Operated Manual Stackers

Presto Lifts Foot Operated Manual Stackers

Presto Lifts Foot-Operated Manual Stackers | Platform and Fork Models, 50" to 78" Lift

Presto Lifts foot-operated manual stackers are hydraulic stackers that lift, stack, and position loads in warehouses, shops, and production areas without powered equipment. Lifting is controlled by a foot-operated hydraulic pump. A perforated metal safety screen separates the operator from the raised load. A leaf-type chain with an 8,250 lb yield point handles the lifting force. High-impact phenolic wheels provide smooth, durable mobility on facility floors.

Twelve models are available across four configurations and three lift heights per configuration. Platform models provide a flat surface for bins, totes, and irregular loads. Fork models offer either non-straddle or straddle leg designs to handle different pallet types. All models are rated at 1,000 lb capacity.

Selection Guide:

♦ Platform vs. fork configuration, platform models (M1 series with 24" x 24" platform; M3 series with 32" x 30" platform) are suited for bins, totes, boxes, and loads that cannot be lifted by forks. Fork models provide direct pallet engagement. Choose a platform for non-palletized loads and a fork for pallet work.

♦ Platform size, 24" x 24" vs. 32" x 30", the M1 series (24" x 24") suits smaller load footprints. The M3 series (32" x 30") provides a larger platform for wider or heavier-footprint loads. Both platform series lower to 5-1/4" and are available with maximum lift heights of 52", 66", and 78".

♦ Non-straddle forks (M2 series), the M2 series uses 25" adjustable inside-dimension non-straddle forks. The fork span adjusts to match different pallet entry widths. These models lower to 5-1/4" and are available at 52", 66", and 78" maximum lift heights. Suited for standard open-entry pallets where straddle legs are not required.

♦ Straddle forks (M4 series), the M4 series uses 30" adjustable straddle forks. The straddle leg design lowers to 3-1/4" -- the lowest of any configuration in this lineup and allows engagement of pallets that standard non-straddle forks cannot access. Available at 50", 64", and 76" maximum lift heights. Choose the M4 series when floor-level engagement (3-1/4" lowered height) or straddle leg compatibility is required.

♦ Maximum lift height, 50"/52", 64"/66", or 76"/78"; the three height tiers are consistent across all four configurations (with slight variation between straddle and non-straddle models). Select the lift height based on the highest rack position or the required stacking height. If in doubt, choose the taller model -- it can always be used at lower heights.

♦ Leaf-type chain, the 8,250 lb yield point chain provides structural confidence well above the 1,000 lb rated capacity. This overbuilt lifting element is a Presto design feature for long-term reliability under repeated daily use.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Warehouse Pallet Rack Loading at 50" to 78" Heights, warehouse operations loading 1,000 lb palletized goods into rack positions at heights from 50" to 78", use the Presto fork models as a manual alternative to powered equipment for low-frequency rack loading tasks.

♦ Production and Workstation Parts Feeding with Platform Models, production support areas feeding bins, totes, and component containers to workstations at elevated positions. Use the platform models (M1 or M3 series) for stable, flat-surface lifting of non-palletized loads without requiring pallet entry.

♦ Stockroom and Retail Backroom Pallet Stacking, stockroom and retail backroom operations, stacking pallets for storage use the Presto stackers for controlled manual hydraulic lift to the selected maximum height with the safety screen protecting the operator throughout the cycle.

♦ Light Production and Assembly Material Supply, light production and assembly areas where materials are staged at elevated positions for operator access, use the Presto stackers for infrequent lifting without the cost and complexity of powered lifting equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are Presto Lift’s foot-operated manual stackers used for?
Presto Lifts’ foot-operated manual stackers are ergonomic lifting tools designed to raise and position palletized loads without electric power. They are ideal for light-duty stacking, staging, and material handling at workstations. Available with fork or platform configurations, they provide flexibility for different load types. These stackers are a reliable solution for facilities that need simple, efficient lifting.
How does foot-operated lifting improve ergonomics for operators?
Foot-operated lifting allows operators to raise loads smoothly while reducing strain on the back and arms. By bringing materials to a comfortable working height, the stacker minimizes bending and awkward reaching. This supports a safer posture and reduces fatigue throughout the day. Ergonomic improvements like these help maintain consistent productivity in daily operations.
What makes fork and platform options valuable?
Fork models are ideal for handling standard pallets, while platform models provide a stable surface for non-palletized items or custom loads. This versatility enables the stacker to support a wider range of applications across the facility. Operators can choose the configuration that best fits their workflow needs. Having both options makes these stackers a practical choice for a wide range of material-handling tasks.
Where do these manual stackers perform best?
Presto manual stackers perform best in warehouses, workshops, retail stockrooms, and production areas where lighter loads need to be lifted and positioned. They are especially useful in environments where forklifts are impractical or unnecessary for occasional handling. Their compact design supports easy maneuvering in tight aisles and confined workspaces. Any operation needing ergonomic lifting without powered equipment can benefit from these stackers.
How do these stackers support precision and workflow efficiency?
Foot-operated lift systems allow loads to be raised gradually, providing better control and more accurate positioning. This improves safety when stacking or feeding materials into workstations. Keeping items at the correct height reduces wasted movement and speeds up repetitive tasks. Over time, these stackers help create a smoother workflow and better organization in material handling areas.
