Presto-Lifts Industrial Pallet Stackers – 1,500–2,700 lb

Presto Lifts Pallet Stackers

Presto-Lifts Industrial Pallet Stackers – 1,500–2,700 lb Capacity Electric Stackers for Pallet Racks

Presto Lifts Industrial Pallet Stackers are battery-powered electric stackers designed as forklift alternatives for pallet rack servicing and general pallet handling in warehouses, distribution centers, and production facilities. The tighter turning radius compared to a counterbalance forklift makes it suited for narrow aisles and congested stock areas where a forklift is impractical. Solid steel adjustable forks, dual leaf-type chains, high-impact phenolic load wheels, a flow-control valve for smooth, controlled lowering, and a hand-operated floor lock are standard across the lineup. A heavy-duty battery with a built-in charger provides operating power with minimal downtime.

Thirty-three models are available across three series (PS, PSA, PST), three capacity tiers (1,500, 2,000, and 2,700 lbs at 24" load centers), and two base widths (48" fixed and 56" wide). Maximum raised heights range from 60" to 144". The PST2144 series at 144" 12 feet is the tallest pallet stacker in the CustomMHS catalog.

Selection Guide:

♦ Series, PS vs. PSA vs. PST, the PS series uses a fixed straddle base and covers raised heights of 60" to 86". The PSA series uses an adjustable straddle base (adjustable from 41" to 56" wide) for flexibility in facilities with varying aisle widths or pallet sizes, and also covers raised heights from 62" to 86". The PST series uses a tall triplex mast for the highest reach positions (94" to 144") and is available in both fixed-base configurations (48" and 56" wide). Choose PS for fixed-aisle standardized operation; PSA when base width flexibility is needed; PST when rack heights exceed 86".

♦ Capacity, 1,500, 2,000, or 2,700 lb (24" load centers), select a model rated comfortably above the maximum expected load weight at a 24" load center. The 1,500-lb models are available only in the PS and PSA series. The 2,000-lb and 2,700-lb models are available across all three series. All capacities are rated at a 24" load center. Loads extending beyond 24" from the face of the forks will have an effectively lower capacity.

♦ Base width, 48" (no suffix) vs. 56" (suffix -50): the 48" base requires less aisle clearance and suits standard aisle widths. The 56" base (denoted by "-50" in the model number) provides greater lateral stability, particularly useful for heavier loads or when additional base spread improves operator confidence during lifting. Both base widths are available across all three series and all three capacity tiers.

♦ Raised height, 60"–86" (PS and PSA series) or 94"–144" (PST series); select based on the highest rack beam or stacking height needed. The model number suffix indicates the maximum raised height in inches. If loads must reach above 86", the PST series is required. The PST series at 144" provides the tallest reach in the Presto pallet stacker lineup.

♦ Adjustable base (PSA), the PSA series base adjusts from 41" to 56" wide. This is useful when the same stacker must operate in aisles of varying widths or when the facility uses multiple pallet sizes with different entry dimensions. The fixed-base PS and PST models are simpler and lower-cost; choose PSA only when the adjustability provides a specific operational benefit.

♦ Flow control lowering and floor lock, the flow control valve provides smooth, controlled descent that minimizes load bounce and improves accurate placement on rack beams. The hand-operated floor lock stabilizes the unit during lifting at rack height. Both features are standard across all 33 models.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Pallet Rack Servicing in Narrow Aisles, warehouse operations servicing pallet rack positions in aisles too narrow for a counterbalance forklift use Presto industrial stackers for their tighter turning radius and battery-powered electric lift to rack height, accessing positions from 60" to 144" without the infrastructure cost of a sit-down or reach truck.

♦ Distribution Center Palletized Load Positioning: distribution center operations position palletized loads at rack-level positions throughout the facility, using Presto stackers as a flexible, mobile alternative to fixed rack infrastructure or dedicated forklift assignments for lower-frequency rack loading tasks.

♦ High-Bay Racking at 94" to 144" with PST Series. Facilities using high-bay pallet racking at heights above 86" use the PST series to service rack positions up to 144", the tallest reach of any pallet stacker at CustomMHS, without upgrading to a full-size reach truck.

♦ Production Floor and Staging Area Pallet Handling, production facilities position palletized raw materials and finished goods at staging positions, using Presto stackers for electric-powered pallet lift and transport in areas where a forklift would be overpowered or undersized for the workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are Presto Lifts industrial pallet stackers used for?
Presto Lifts industrial pallet stackers are heavy-duty electric stackers designed to lift, transport, and position palletized loads in warehouse and distribution environments. They are ideal for stacking pallets into racking, staging materials, and supporting high-frequency pallet handling tasks. Electric operation provides smooth lifting performance without the strain of manual systems. These stackers are a strong alternative to forklifts for efficient rack-level pallet management.
How do electric stackers improve ergonomics and operator safety?
Electric lifting reduces the need for manual pumping, lowering physical strain on operators throughout the shift. Loads can be raised smoothly to the correct height with powered controls, improving posture and safety. Stable electric lift motion also improves load security during positioning. Ergonomic support like this helps reduce fatigue and the risk of workplace injuries over time.
What makes these stackers ideal for pallet rack applications?
Industrial pallet stackers are designed to position loads accurately at higher levels, making them well-suited for pallet racks and elevated storage. Operators can place and retrieve pallets with greater control than with manual equipment. This improves organization and reduces reliance on forklifts in tight aisles. Powered stacking capability supports efficient use of vertical warehouse space.
Where do Presto industrial pallet stackers perform best?
These electric stackers perform well in warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and shipping operations where pallets must be moved and stacked regularly. They are especially useful in narrow aisles where forklifts may be less practical. Their maneuverability and lifting power support multi-station workflows and rack-level storage needs. Any facility focused on efficient pallet rack handling can benefit from this equipment.
How do these stackers support workflow efficiency and throughput?
By combining lift and transport into a single powered unit, operators can move and position pallets faster with less physical effort. Reduced wasted motion improves handling speed and daily productivity. Controlled lifting also helps reduce product damage and placement errors. Over time, these advantages contribute to smoother material flow and stronger warehouse efficiency.
