Husky 36x96 Starter Pallet Racking

Husky 36x96 Starter Pallet Racking Section

Husky 36x96 Starter Pallet Racking, Industrial Warehouse Storage Rack

The Husky 36" Deep x 96" High Starter Warehouse Pallet Racking system provides a durable, space-efficient foundation for industrial storage applications. Designed with dual teardrop punches on 2" centers, it allows for precise beam height adjustments using compatible Husky beams or other industry-standard teardrop-style components.

This starter unit features Husky's patented Bowlock safety clips, which securely lock beams in place and prevent accidental dislodging, and require no tools for removal. The heavy-duty steel construction supports high-capacity palletized loads while helping you maximize vertical space and free up valuable floor area.

Perfect for warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution facilities, this starter unit is fully compatible with Husky add-on sections and designed for efficient forklift access and high-density bulk storage.

Nineteen configurations are available across five widths, multiple beam capacities, and with or without wire decking.

Selection Guide:

♦ Width: from 48" to 144"; select based on the pallet footprint and the total horizontal storage span needed per bay.

♦ Beam capacity, ranging from 3,000 lbs up to 8,873 lbs per pair depending on width and configuration, should be selected based on the weight of the palletized loads being stored.

♦ Wire decking, adding wire decking provides support for cartons, smaller items, and packaging materials that could otherwise fall through open beams, particularly useful in mixed-load storage.

♦ Starter unit as the foundation, this unit includes the upright frames and beam structure needed to begin a pallet rack row and can be expanded later with compatible add-on bays.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Warehouse and Distribution Bulk Pallet Storage: warehouses and distribution centers use this starter unit to build out organized, high-density pallet storage rows.

♦ Manufacturing Raw Material and Finished Goods Storage: Manufacturing facilities use this racking to store palletized raw materials and finished goods vertically, freeing up floor space for production.

♦ Fulfillment Center High-Volume Storage: fulfillment centers use this racking to scale storage capacity as inventory grows, starting with a single starter unit and expanding over time.

♦ Mixed Load Storage with Wire Decking: Facilities storing a mix of palletized and smaller boxed items use the wire decking option to prevent smaller items from falling through open beams.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a Husky 36x96 starter pallet racking unit used for?
A Husky 36x96 starter pallet racking unit is designed to provide strong, organized storage for palletized inventory in industrial warehouses. It serves as the beginning section of a pallet rack run, providing the upright frames and beam structure needed for heavy loads. Starter units are ideal for building efficient vertical storage rows. They help maximize warehouse capacity while keeping products accessible.
How does the 36x96 size support industrial warehouse storage needs?
The deeper rack depth allows storage of larger pallets and bulk inventory, while the wide span provides ample horizontal space per level. This makes it a great option for warehouses handling high-volume or oversized products. The size supports high-density storage without requiring additional floor space. It is a practical balance of strength, capacity, and layout efficiency.
Why is a starter unit important in a pallet racking system?
Starter units act as the base foundation for a complete pallet rack row. They can operate independently or be expanded with add-on bays as storage needs grow. This modular design helps warehouses scale storage without replacing existing structures. A starter unit is the first step toward a flexible and expandable rack layout.
What types of facilities benefit from Husky pallet racking starter bays?
Starter bays are widely used in warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and fulfillment operations. Any facility storing palletized goods requires a robust racking foundation to ensure safe vertical storage. These systems help improve organization and reduce floor congestion. They are especially valuable in high-traffic environments with frequent forklift movement.
How does pallet racking improve workflow and inventory control?
Pallet racking keeps inventory stored in clear, structured locations, making picking and restocking more efficient. It reduces clutter on warehouse floors and improves aisle safety for forklifts and workers. Organized rack systems also support better inventory tracking and faster access to goods. This leads to smoother operations and fewer delays.
