Husky 42x192 Add-On IU29 Pallet Racking | Heavy-Duty Warehouse Expansion

Husky 42x192 Add-on Pallet Rack Section | IU29 Upright Frame

Husky 42x192 Add-On IU29 Upright Warehouse Pallet Racking

Husky 42" deep x 192" high Add-on Warehouse Pallet Racking features two teardrop punches side by side on 2" centers. Husky Beams are adjustable in 2-inch increments, and the system is compatible with most other manufacturers' teardrop patterns. This tall add-on unit provides substantial vertical storage capacity when expanding an existing starter bay in high-cube warehouse environments.

The teardrop pattern is an industry standard and accepts most teardrop-style beams, giving you flexibility to match or expand existing racking. Beams feature the patented Bowlock safety clip, which cannot be sprung or removed without first removing the beam and requires no special tools, supporting faster and safer installation and reconfiguration. Standard colors are green uprights with orange beams.

Pallet racking like this is used for storing bulk loads that traditionally take up floor space and are loaded with forklifts. Use add-on units to complete the row, sharing a common upright with the adjacent bay to expand storage without duplicating structural components. Thirty-eight configurations are available across six widths, multiple beam capacities, three or four upper shelf levels, and with or without wire decking.

Selection Guide:

♦ Width: from 48" to 144"; select based on the pallet footprint and the total horizontal storage span needed per bay.

♦ Beam capacity, ranging from 3,000 lbs up to 8,873 lbs per pair depending on width and configuration, should be selected based on the weight of the palletized loads being stored.

♦ Shelf count: three or four upper levels; select based on how much vertical separation is needed for different product categories or load types at this taller 192" height.

♦ Wire decking, adding wire decking provides support for cartons, smaller items, and packaging materials that could otherwise fall through open beams, particularly useful in mixed-load storage. Confirm availability at 144"W, 7,820 lb before ordering, as wire decking variants are not currently listed at that specific size and capacity.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Distribution Center High-Cube Storage: Distribution centers use this tall add-on unit to maximize vertical storage capacity when expanding existing rack rows without expanding floor space.

♦ Manufacturing Raw Material and Finished Goods Storage: Manufacturing facilities use this racking to store palletized raw materials and finished goods vertically, freeing up floor space for production.

♦ Fulfillment Center High-Volume Storage: Fulfillment centers use add-on units to scale storage capacity as inventory grows without rebuilding existing rows.

♦ Bulk Storage Operations Maximizing Cube Space, bulk storage operations use the 192" height to increase storage density in facilities with tall ceiling clearance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why buy Husky add-on pallet racking from CustomMHS.com?
CustomMHS.com helps you select the correct add-on configuration that matches your existing Husky pallet rack system. Instead of guessing compatibility, you get expert guidance to ensure a safe, seamless expansion. A properly planned add-on bay improves capacity, organization, and long-term durability. Purchasing from CustomMHS.com is the straightforward choice for heavy-duty warehouse pallet racking done right.
What is a Husky 42x192 add-on pallet racking unit used for?
A Husky 42x192 add-on pallet racking unit is designed to expand an existing pallet rack row in heavy-duty warehouse environments. It connects to a starter bay, allowing additional pallet storage space without requiring a full independent rack section. Add-on units help warehouses increase storage capacity within a consistent, organized rack layout. They are ideal for scaling storage capacity as inventory demand increases.
How does the 42x192 size support heavy-duty warehouse expansion?
The deeper rack depth provides extra room for storing larger pallets and bulk inventory loads, while the tall upright height supports increased vertical storage capacity. This makes it well-suited for warehouses that maximize cube space and handle high-volume goods. The size improves storage density without consuming additional floor space. It delivers strong performance for demanding industrial storage operations.
Why are add-on bays important in modular pallet racking systems?
Add-on bays allow warehouses to extend existing rack systems efficiently without rebuilding starter structures. They provide a cost-effective way to expand storage while keeping layouts uniform and organized. This modular approach supports long-term growth planning. Add-on units make it simple to adapt pallet storage systems as operations evolve.
What types of facilities benefit most from Husky add-on pallet racking?
Add-on pallet racking is commonly used in distribution centers, manufacturing plants, fulfillment warehouses, and bulk storage operations. Any facility needing to increase palletized storage capacity benefits from expandable rack sections. These units maximize vertical storage while keeping inventory accessible. They are essential for high-density warehouse environments.
How does pallet rack expansion improve warehouse workflow and organization?
Expanding pallet racking creates more defined storage locations, reducing floor clutter and improving forklift traffic flow. Additional rack space supports faster picking, smoother replenishment, and better inventory control. It also prevents overcrowding, which can increase the risk of product damage. A well-planned expansion improves efficiency and warehouse safety.
