♦ Selective Rack System Safety Upgrades, facilities upgrading existing selective rack systems use flue stops as a simple, low-cost safety improvement.

♦ Multi-Row Rack Configurations, facilities storing pallets in back-to-back rack rows use flue stops to maintain the required gap between rows.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the WorldWide Material Handling WorldStop Flue Stop used for?
The WorldStop Flue Stop is a pallet rack safety accessory designed to help control pallet placement within warehouse racking systems. It prevents pallets from being pushed too far back into the rack, which helps maintain proper spacing. This improves rack safety and supports better load positioning. It is commonly used in facilities with high-volume pallet storage.
How does a flue stop improve pallet rack safety?
Flue stops reduce the risk of pallets shifting into unsafe positions that could lead to product damage or falling loads. They help keep pallets properly aligned on rack beams during forklift loading. Correct pallet placement also protects workers and equipment in adjacent aisles. This creates a safer and more consistent storage environment.
Why is maintaining rack flue space important in warehouses?
Rack flue space is the open vertical area between pallet loads that allows heat and sprinkler water to pass through the racking system. Maintaining this space is important for fire safety and proper sprinkler performance. Flue stops help prevent pallets from blocking these critical channels. This supports safer warehouse compliance and protection.
What types of facilities benefit most from flue stop accessories?
Flue stops are widely used in distribution centers, warehouses, fulfillment operations, and industrial storage environments. Any facility storing palletized goods in selective rack systems can benefit from improved pallet positioning. They are especially valuable in high-traffic storage areas with frequent forklift activity. Flue stops add a simple layer of safety and control.
How does the WorldStop system support long-term rack performance?
By preventing pallets from being pushed too far back, flue stops reduce impact stress on rack structures and stored inventory. They help create more consistent loading habits across warehouse operations. Over time, this leads to fewer rack repairs and less product damage. It is a practical upgrade for extending the life of pallet racking systems.
