Presto Lifts Double Scissor Lift Tables

Presto Lifts Double Scissors Lift Table

Presto Lifts Industrial Double Scissors Lift Table

The Presto Lifts Double Scissor Lift Table series uses a stacked two-stage scissor mechanism to achieve vertical travel that a single-scissor unit cannot reach from the same compact lowered height. Where a standard scissor lift table tops out at 40" to 55" of raised height, the double scissor models in this series reach up to 86". Capacities run from 500 to 4,000 lbs across thirteen models. All models include a standard hand control; foot control is available as an option. A 1/3 HP 115V power unit is standard. The hinged platform provides access to the hydraulic cylinder and power unit without raising the table, which simplifies routine maintenance.

Choosing the Right Double Scissor Model:

Select the travel group first based on the required height in your application, then choose the capacity that covers your heaviest expected load.

Travel groups and raised heights:

♦ DXS30 series: raises to approximately 36-3/4". Shortest travel, most compact lowered height. For applications where a moderately raised position is sufficient.

♦ DXS36 series: raises to approximately 42" to 44". A versatile mid-range choice for standard assembly and staging workstations.

♦ DXS48 series: raises to approximately 55" to 60". Suited for applications requiring materials at or above shoulder height.

♦ DXS60 series: raises to approximately 74" to 76-1/2". For high-reach production feeding, elevated conveyor transfers, and tall assembly operations.

♦ DXS72 series: raises to approximately 84" to 86". The tallest models in the series for applications requiring the maximum raised position.

Where Double Scissor Lift Tables Are Commonly Used:

♦ Elevated conveyor and line feeds: Raising materials to match the height of overhead conveyors, elevated transfer lines, or mezzanine-level staging areas where a single-scissor table cannot reach.

♦ High assembly workstations: Supporting operators who work on tall assemblies, vehicles, machinery, or fabricated structures requiring access at heights above standard workstation level.

♦ Maintenance and inspection: Raising heavy equipment, subassemblies, or components to a working height where technicians can access the underside or top without overhead lifting equipment.

♦ Multi-level pallet and load transfers: Positioning palletized loads at dock height, upper-level rack infeed height, or any elevated transfer point in a multi-level handling system.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Presto industrial double scissors lift table designed for?
The double-scissor lift table is designed for applications requiring a higher lift height than a standard single-scissor unit. It raises loads to higher working positions for assembly, maintenance, staging, and production support. This makes it ideal for facilities that need vertical reach without adding mezzanines or overhead equipment. It delivers dependable hydraulic lifting for demanding industrial environments.
How does a double scissors design provide extra lifting capability?
A double-scissors mechanism provides additional vertical travel while maintaining a stable lifting platform. This allows operators to bring materials to higher levels for easier access, positioning, or workflow alignment. It is especially useful when loads must be lifted to elevated conveyors, workstations, or multi-level handling zones. Additional height capability improves flexibility in complex material-handling operations.
Where are double scissors lift tables most commonly used?
These lift tables are often used in manufacturing plants, distribution centers, assembly lines, and maintenance departments. They support high-reach tasks such as staging materials, feeding production processes, or positioning heavy components at elevated heights. Facilities that handle repetitive lifting at higher levels benefit most from this design. Where additional vertical reach is needed safely, a double scissor table is a strong solution.
What ergonomic and safety benefits does this lift table provide?
By raising loads to the proper working height, the table reduces bending, reaching, and manual lifting strain on workers. Better positioning improves operator control, which supports safer handling of heavy or awkward materials. Ergonomic lifting also helps maintain productivity by reducing fatigue over long shifts. Lift tables are a key investment in safer and more efficient industrial workflows.
What should you consider when selecting an extra height lift table?
Start by evaluating the maximum lift height and the lift table's cycle frequency during daily operations. Consider platform size, load stability, and the surrounding workspace where the table will be installed. It is also important to plan how materials will be loaded and unloaded at higher positions. Choosing the right configuration ensures long-term safety and performance.
