Jesco's large volume super heavy-duty self-dumping hoppers cover 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 cubic yards at 6,000-pound capacity the largest forklift hoppers in the Jesco lineup. The 5.0-cubic-yard model (211391) is available only in this series and represents the maximum single-hopper volume for applications where reducing forklift trips per shift is the primary operational driver.

All three models share the same 71-1/2" length and 59-1/2" height. Volume increases entirely through width: 65-1/2" wide at 3.0 yards, 85-1/2" wide at 4.0 yards, and 105-1/2" wide at 5.0 yards. At nearly 9 feet wide, the 5.0-yard model requires careful planning for delivery access, installation position, and forklift approach clearance. The self-dumping mechanism and forklift-compatible design are consistent with the rest of the Jesco lineup.

Selecting the Right Hopper:

♦ Volume, the three models differ only in width and the cubic yard capacity that results. The 3.0-yard (211371) suits operations that generate large volumes exceeding the 2.5-yard maximum of the super extra heavy-duty series. The 4.0-yard (211381) reduces forklift pickup frequency compared to the 3.0-yard when the material generation rate is high. The 5.0-yard (211391) is the maximum single-hopper volume in the Jesco lineup and minimizes the number of forklift trips required to clear a high-volume collection point.

♦ Width scales with volume, because the length and height are fixed, the only physical dimension that changes between models is width. This means the 3.0-yard and 4.0-yard models have the same footprint depth and height, but different widths. At 3.0 yards, the hopper is 65-1/2" wide; at 5.0 yards, it is 105-1/2" wide. Plan the installation width carefully, including forklift approach clearance from the front and any side obstructions.

♦ 6,000 pounds at all volumes, the 6,000-pound rating is consistent across all three models. As with all Jesco hoppers, the limiting factor is either weight or volume, whichever is reached first. For lower-density bulk materials (packaging, light debris), the hopper will reach its volume capacity before the weight limit. For dense materials (metal scrap, slag, aggregate), the weight limit may be reached at a relatively small portion of the cubic volume.

Confirm that truck access, dock entry dimensions, and the installation floor position can accommodate a unit nearly 9 feet wide. Also, confirm that the forklift used for day-to-day operations has a rated capacity of 6,000 pounds at the required lift height for the dumping operation.
