Wire Shelving Systems

Industrial wire shelving construction improves visibility, allows light to pass through the shelves, and enables better air circulation. This design reduces moisture and dust buildup and improves the effectiveness of fire suppression systems. Leveling feet compensate for uneven floor surfaces, keeping the shelving unit stable and secure.

Each unit comes with four or five wire shelves and four posts, shipped knocked down to save on freight costs. Assembly is fast and easy, using numerically calibrated grooved posts, tapered plastic split sleeves, and shelf collars in a straightforward two-step process: snap the split sleeves onto a post at the desired height, then slide a shelf collar over the split sleeves to create a positive lock between the shelf and post without needing any tools.

Metro's Super Adjustable Super Erecta line uses a unique shelf design and SiteSelect Posts, enabling tool-free, quick adjustment at 1-inch increments along the entire height of the post. Wire shelves adjust on 1-inch centers, and each shelf includes shelf clips.

Selecting the Right Type:

♦ Environment: Choose Zinc or Chrome for dry, low-humidity areas, Metroseal or Metroban antimicrobial finishes for wet or high-humidity areas, or Stainless Steel for the harshest environments.
♦ Adjustability: Choose Super Adjustable Super Erecta for tool-free shelf height changes along the full post, or standard Super Erecta for numerically calibrated fixed positions.
♦ Height: Choose 63" or 74" tall units based on ceiling clearance and storage capacity needs.

Industrial wire shelving is used in dry storage areas where zinc and chrome finishes suit standard warehouse and stockroom storage, in wet or high-humidity areas where Metroseal corrosion-resistant finishes with Microban protection support damp environments, in harsh or sanitation-critical environments where polished 304 stainless steel withstands the most demanding conditions, and in frequently reconfigured storage where Super Adjustable posts enable tool-free shelf-height changes as needs evolve.
