Akro-Mils 1800-Series Extra-Deep AkroBins | Designed for 18" Deep Industrial Shelving

Akro-Mils 1800-Series AkroBins are specifically sized for 18" deep industrial shelving. At 20-1/2" outside length, each bin fills the usable depth of an 18" shelf from front to back, eliminating the dead space at the rear of the shelf that standard 30-Series bins (which max out at 18" outside length) leave behind. This extra depth consolidates more inventory per bin position, reduces the number of bins needed for the same parts volume, and keeps the shelf face clean and organized.

Two widths are available: 8-1/4" and 11", both 7" high and 20-1/2" deep. Both are stackable. Compatible dividers are available for each model. Prices are per carton of 6 bins.

Selecting the Right Bin:

♦ Width, 8-1/4" vs. 11", the narrower 8-1/4"-wide bin fits more bins per linear foot of shelf width and suits parts that don't require a wide lateral opening. The 11"-wide bin provides more usable interior volume per position for parts that need additional lateral space or higher volume per bin.

♦ 1800-Series vs. 30-Series AkroBins, the 30-Series bins range up to 18" outside length. The deepest 30-Series models (30250, 30255, 30270) are 16-1/2" wide but only 7" high and deeper than 10". The 1800-Series 20-1/2" length exceeds all 30-Series depths and is designed specifically to fill the full depth of an 18" shelf. Choose the 1800-Series when the storage system uses 18" deep shelving and maximum bin depth utilization is the priority. Choose the 30-Series when a wider range of widths, heights, and accessory options (dividers, lids, window inserts, louvered panel compatibility) is needed.

♦ Divider compatibility: The 40348 divider fits only the 30348 bin; the 40358 divider fits only the 30358 bin. Order the divider that matches the bin being used.

♦ Carton pricing: Both models are sold in cartons of 6 bins. Prices are per carton. Calculate the number of cartons needed based on the total bin positions required.
