Vestil Self-Elevating Lift Cart | Automatic Height Adjusting Platform

The Vestil Self-Elevating Lift Cart is a spring-loaded cart that automatically adjusts platform height as the load changes, keeping the work surface at a consistent ergonomic level throughout the loading and unloading cycle. As weight is added, the spring compresses and the platform descends. As weight is removed, the spring extends, and the platform rises. No manual adjustment is needed.

Heavy-duty steel construction with a removable bolt-on handle. Five-inch x 1" poly-on-poly casters, two rigid and two swivel with brakes -- provide mobility and stable, stationary positioning. Two models are available in two platform sizes and two capacity ratings.

This model differs from the Vestil Auto-Hite Cart in two key ways: poly-on-poly (rather than polyurethane) casters, and lower capacity ratings (400 and 800 lb vs. up to 2,000 lb on the Auto-Hite). If higher capacity or polyurethane casters are needed, see the Vestil Auto-Hite Cart.

♦ SCSC-400-2032, 20" W, 32" L platform. Service range 13-3/4" to 30". Capacity 400 lbs. Spring-loaded automatic height adjustment. Removable bolt-on handle. 5" x 1" poly-on-poly casters, two swivel with brakes.

♦ SCSC-800-2040, 20" W, 40" L platform. Service range 14-1/2" to 31-1/8". Capacity 800 lbs. Spring-loaded automatic height adjustment. Removable bolt-on handle. 5" x 1" poly-on-poly casters, two swivel with brakes. Longer platform and higher capacity than SCSC-400-2032.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Capacity, 400 lb vs. 800 lb, choose SCSC-400-2032 for lighter loads up to 400 lbs. Choose SCSC-800-2040 for heavier loads up to 800 lbs. Both models self-level automatically within the rated capacity range.

♦ Platform length: 32" vs. 40". The SCSC-400-2032 has a 32" platform suited for smaller carton, tote, and parts footprints. The SCSC-800-2040 has a 40" platform for longer or larger load footprints. Both are 20" wide.

♦ Service range, both models operate within a similar window (13-3/4" to 30" for the 400 lb model; 14-1/2" to 31-1/8" for the 800 lb model), slightly different but both approximately 13" to 31" working height range. Confirm this range suits the application before ordering.

♦ Self-Elevating vs. Auto-Hite: this model is suited to lighter-duty applications with a 400 to 800 lb capacity and poly-on-poly casters. The Auto-Hite Cart supports up to 2,000 lb with polyurethane casters and adjustable tension springs for a wider range of applications. For heavy loads or more demanding floor conditions, the Auto-Hite is the stronger choice.

♦ Packing and Kitting Stations at Lighter Capacities: packing and kitting operations handling cartons, totes, and components in the 400 to 800 lb range use the Self-Elevating Cart to automatically maintain a consistent working height as items are added or removed, without manual adjustment.

♦ Assembly Parts Supply, assembly lines staging light-to-medium parts bins and component trays at the assembly position, use the self-elevating mechanism to keep parts accessible at a consistent height as the bin empties during production.

♦ Order Picking Supplement, picking operations where operators remove items one at a time from a container on the cart, use the self-elevating platform to keep the top item at a consistent reach height throughout the pick cycle, reducing progressive bending as the load lightens.
