Wesco 2-Wheeled Steel Frame Winch Pedalift with Auto-Brake

Wesco 2 Wheeled Steel Frame Winch Pedalift

Wesco 2-Wheeled Steel Frame Winch Pedalift with Auto-Brake | 750 lb, Handle-Controlled Lift

The Wesco 2-Wheeled Steel Frame Winch Pedalift uses a winch-based lifting mechanism rather than a hydraulic pump. The platform raises and lowers by turning the handle, no foot pedal strokes, no catches to engage or release, and no abrupt stops. The auto-brake holds the load at any position within the lift range and prevents free fall during lowering. This provides smooth, controlled lifting with precise height positioning and low maintenance requirements compared to hydraulic alternatives.

The nose plate is designed to make full contact with the floor for safe, stable ground-level loading. Steel frame construction with 8" x 2" wheels fitted with 0.75" precision ball bearings provides smooth, predictable rolling under load. A standard wheel lock secures the unit during loading and positioning.

Five models are available in the same configurations as the 2-wheeled hydraulic Pedalift, three platform sizes, and two fork options, all at 750 lb capacity.

♦ 260018, 3" x 18" forks. Lift height 40". Capacity 750 lbs. Auto-brake winch, handle-controlled raise/lower. Floor-touching nose plate. Wheel lock. 8" x 2" wheels with 0.75" precision ball bearings. Fork model at lower lift height.

♦ 260019, 3" x 18" forks. Lift height 54". Capacity 750 lbs. Auto-brake winch, handle-controlled raise/lower. Floor-touching nose plate. Wheel lock. 8" x 2" wheels with 0.75" precision ball bearings. Fork model at higher lift height.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Platform vs. fork configuration, platform models (260015, 260016, 260017) provide a flat surface for bins, boxes, and non-pallet loads. Fork models (260018, 260019) are for pallets and skids with accessible fork entry. Match the configuration to the load type.

♦ Platform size, 20"x16", 22"x22", or 30"x22", the 20"x16" (260015) suits smaller compact loads at 40" lift. The 22"x22" (260016) provides a larger square platform at 54" lift. The 30"x22" (260017) is the widest platform at 54" lift. Match to the load footprint.

♦ Lift height, 40" or 54", select based on the destination height needed. The 40" models (260015 and 260018) suit lower work positions; the 54" models cover higher workbenches, conveyor infeed points, and elevated staging positions.

♦ Winch vs. hydraulic Pedalift, the winch mechanism provides precise, catch-free height control at any point in the lift range with no pump strokes. The hydraulic 2-wheeled Pedalift (path 353_2664_2667) uses foot-pump lift and foot-release lowering for the same configurations, capacities, and lift heights. Choose the winch if low-maintenance, catch-free operation, or precise, handle-controlled positioning is preferred. Both models offer identical load configurations and capacities.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Precise Height Positioning at Workstations, operations requiring precise platform height adjustment at fixed workstations use the winch Pedalift for catch-free handle-controlled elevation, setting the load exactly at the required working height without the incremental pump-and-release of hydraulic models.

♦ Maintenance-Sensitive Environments, facilities seeking to reduce hydraulic fluid maintenance, seal replacement, and oil leak risk, use the winch Pedalift as a mechanically simpler alternative to the hydraulic Pedalift at the same load configurations and capacities.

♦ Ground-Level Loading to Workbench or Staging Height: load materials from floor level onto workbenches, staging tables, or conveyor infeed points at 40" or 54" using the winch Pedalift to tilt the load back, roll it to the destination, and raise it to transfer height with smooth winch control.

♦ Light-Duty Pallet and Platform Handling at 750 lb, operations handling pallets, bins, and equipment at 750 lb or less in a combined transport-and-lift workflow use the winch Pedalift, where the catch-free winch mechanism provides a handling advantage over the hydraulic alternative.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Wesco two-wheeled steel frame winch, Pedalift, used for?
The Wesco two-wheeled steel-frame Pedalift winch is a manual lifting solution designed to efficiently raise and transport loads in industrial and warehouse environments. It uses a winch-lifting system with an automatic brake for controlled elevation. Adjustable forks or platform configurations allow it to handle a variety of load types. This Pedalift is ideal for ergonomic material positioning without relying on powered equipment.
How does the winch lift system improve control and safety?
A winch lift mechanism allows operators to raise loads gradually with precise control. The auto-brake feature helps prevent sudden lowering, supporting safer handling during lifting tasks. This controlled operation improves stability and reduces risk when positioning materials at elevated heights. The result is more confident and secure manual lifting.
What makes adjustable forks and platform options valuable?
Adjustable forks provide flexibility for handling different pallet widths and load configurations. Platform options allow the lift to carry non-palletized materials, boxes, or irregular items that require a flat surface. This versatility makes the Pedalift useful across multiple workstations and applications. It is a practical solution for facilities with diverse material-handling needs.
Where does this two-wheeled Pedalift perform best?
This lift performs well in warehouses, workshops, stockrooms, and manufacturing environments where loads must be moved and positioned in tight spaces. The two-wheeled design supports maneuverability while maintaining stability for lighter lifting tasks. It is especially useful when forklifts are impractical or unnecessary. Any operation needing ergonomic manual load positioning can benefit from this equipment.
How does the Pedalift support workflow efficiency?
Keeping materials elevated and accessible reduces wasted motion and speeds up handling tasks. Operators can position loads more accurately while minimizing physical strain. Stable lifting also helps reduce product damage and handling errors. Over time, the Pedalift contributes to smoother material flow and more productive daily operations.
