Wesco Powered Adjustable Span Straddle Stackers | 1,000 lb, 40" Forks

Wesco Powered Adjustable Span Straddle Stacker

Wesco Powered Adjustable Span Straddle Stackers | 1,000 lb, 40" Deep Forks, Adjustable 34"–50" Straddle

The Wesco Powered Adjustable Span Straddle Stackers are battery-electric pallet stackers with extra-deep 40" forks and adjustable straddle legs for flexible pallet handling across a range of load and aisle configurations. The straddle legs adjust from 34" to 50" inside dimension, allowing the stacker to be configured for standard and non-standard pallet sizes without switching equipment. The 3" wide x 40" long forks lower to the floor for direct engagement of pallets sitting at floor level.

Load centers are 20". Five-inch phenolic front wheels and 4" phenolic rear casters provide smooth, durable mobility. The battery and charger are included with every model.

Three models are available, all with a 1,000 lb capacity. The only variable is the maximum raised height.

Models and Specifications:

♦ 261034, 3" W, 40" L floor-touch forks. Adjustable straddle legs 34"–50" ID. Maximum raised height 56". Capacity 1,000 lbs. 20" load centers. Battery and charger included. 5" phenolic front wheels, 4" phenolic rear casters.

♦ 261035, 3" W, 40" L floor-touch forks. Adjustable straddle legs 34"–50" ID. Maximum raised height 64". Capacity 1,000 lbs. 20" load centers. Battery and charger included. 5" phenolic front wheels, 4" phenolic rear casters.

♦ 261036, 3" W, 40" L floor-touch forks. Adjustable straddle legs 34"–50" ID. Maximum raised height 76". Capacity 1,000 lbs. 20" load centers. Battery and charger included. 5" phenolic front wheels, 4" phenolic rear casters. The tallest model in the lineup.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Maximum raised height: 56", 64", or 76"; all three models share identical specifications. The only variable is the maximum raised height. Select based on the highest rack position or the required stacking height. When in doubt, choose the taller model.

♦ Adjustable straddle leg span: the straddle legs adjust from 34" to 50" inside dimension before use. Set the span to match the outside width of the pallet or skid being handled. The inside leg clearance must accommodate the pallet's width. The adjustable range of 34"–50" ID covers most standard GMA pallets (typically 40" wide) and many custom pallet sizes. Verify the pallet OD fits within the adjusted leg span before lifting.

♦ 40" fork length, the 40" long forks are significantly deeper than the 25" forks on the standard Wesco fork stackers (path 2677). The additional fork depth provides better load support for longer pallets and improves stability for loads with a center of gravity farther from the mast. Verify that the 40" fork length is compatible with the pallet type and the available space in front of the stacker during operation.

♦ Powered adjustable span vs. Wesco standard fork stacker, the standard Wesco powered fork stacker (path 2677) uses fixed 15"/21" or 25.5"/32" straddle legs and 25" long forks at 1,000 lb capacity. The adjustable span straddle stacker on this page uses 40" long forks and continuously adjustable 34"–50" ID legs. Choose the adjustable span when the pallet inventory includes multiple sizes requiring different leg widths. Choose the standard fork stacker when pallet dimensions are consistent and the 25" fork length is adequate.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Mixed Pallet Size Operations at 1,000 lb: facilities handling pallets of varying dimensions throughout the day use the adjustable straddle leg span to configure the stacker for each pallet size without swapping equipment, maintaining consistent electric-powered stacking across different load types in a single shift.

♦ Warehouse Rack Loading at 56" to 76" with Non-Standard Pallets, warehouse operations using non-standard or custom-size pallets that fall outside the fixed leg spans of standard straddle stackers use the adjustable span models to accommodate the pallet width and stack-to-rack heights of 56", 64", or 76".

♦ Distribution Center Flexible Pallet Handling, distribution centers receiving palletized freight on a variety of pallet types and sizes use the adjustable span stacker to handle inbound freight without requiring multiple stackers for different pallet configurations.

♦ Long Pallet Support with 40" Forks: operations handling elongated pallets or loads where a 25" fork would not adequately support the load footprint should use the 40" fork models for deeper fork penetration and improved load stability during lifting and positioning.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Wesco powered adjustable span straddle stacker designed for?
This powered straddle stacker is built to lift, transport, and position palletized or skid loads in a wide range of warehouse and industrial environments. Its adjustable span design allows it to handle different load widths while maintaining stability. It is a practical solution for facilities that need versatile lifting equipment without moving up to a full-size forklift. The powered operation also helps reduce operator strain during frequent lifting tasks.
How does the adjustable span straddle design improve flexibility?
The adjustable legs make it easier to work with a variety of pallet sizes and load configurations. This flexibility helps operations that handle mixed inventory or non-standard skids throughout the day. It also allows the stacker to straddle pallets or containers more effectively, which improves positioning accuracy. For businesses that need a single machine to handle multiple handling scenarios, this design delivers significant value.
Which warehouse applications are best suited to this stacker?
Powered straddle stackers are a strong fit for stockrooms, loading areas, light manufacturing, and distribution centers. They are commonly used for pallet stacking, order staging, and moving loads between workstations. Because they are compact compared with larger lift trucks, they work well in tight spaces. They provide a balanced mix of lifting power and maneuverability for everyday material handling.
How does powered lifting improve safety and productivity?
Powered lifting reduces the physical effort required of operators, helping prevent fatigue during long shifts. Smooth lift control also supports safer load placement, especially when stacking or working near racking. Consistent powered performance allows operators to handle tasks more efficiently with fewer interruptions. This combination of safety and productivity makes powered stackers a smart investment for growing operations.
What should businesses consider when choosing a straddle stacker like this?
It is important to consider the types of loads you handle, the aisle space in your facility, and the lift heights required for storage or staging. Adjustable span models are especially useful if your operation deals with varying pallet dimensions. You should also consider operator ease of use, since intuitive controls and stable handling directly affect daily performance. Selecting the right stacker ensures smoother workflows and fewer equipment bottlenecks.
