Wesco Straddle Fork Hydraulic Stacker | 1,000 lb, 56" to 76" Lift

The Wesco Straddle Fork Hydraulic Stacker is a manual foot-pump hydraulic stacker with a straddle-leg base for lifting and stacking 1,000-lb palletized loads. The straddle legs extend alongside the pallet from both sides, providing lateral stability during lifting and transport. Floor-touch forks (1" thick, 3" wide, 30" long) allow the unit to engage pallets sitting directly on the floor. Fork span is adjustable up to 25" to accommodate different pallet widths.

The base leg span measures 25.5" inside and 32" outside the outer width of the straddle legs. This determines the minimum aisle width and clearance needed to operate the stacker. Verify the 32" outside span clears the available aisle space and any rack uprights or obstructions before ordering.

Three safety features are standard: floor locks, a safety screen, and a foot guard. Five-inch front phenolic wheels and 4" rear phenolic swivel casters provide smooth maneuverability. Load centers are 18". A 1-year warranty is included.

Three models are available at the same 1,000 lb capacity, differing only in maximum raised height.

Models and Specifications:

♦ 260041, 1" x 3" x 30" floor-touch forks, adjustable span to 25". Maximum raised height 56". Capacity 1,000 lbs. Load centers 18". Base leg span 25.5" ID, 32" OD. Floor locks, safety screen, foot guard. 5" front phenolic wheels, 4" rear phenolic swivel casters. 1-year warranty.

♦ 260042, 1" x 3" x 30" floor-touch forks, adjustable span to 25". Maximum raised height 64". Capacity 1,000 lbs. Load centers 18". Same spec as 260041 at a greater height.

♦ 260043, 1" x 3" x 30" floor-touch forks, adjustable span to 25". Maximum raised height 76". Capacity 1,000 lbs. Load centers 18". Same spec as 260041 at the greatest raised height. The tallest model in the Wesco straddle fork lineup is chosen when loads must be placed at rack heights above 64".

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Maximum raised height: 56", 64", or 76". The only difference between the three models is the maximum raised height. Select based on the tallest rack position or stacking height needed in the application. If there is any possibility of needing height above 56" or 64", choose the taller model.

♦ Straddle fork vs. fork model (SFL series), the straddle fork stacker's legs extend 32" outside width, which requires more aisle clearance than the SFL fork model. The straddle design provides lateral stability from both sides of the pallet. The SFL fork model has narrower 42" forks (vs. 30" on the straddle) and 15" load centers (vs. 18"). Choose the straddle model when lateral stability is the priority; choose the SFL model when fork length or load center distance better matches the application.

♦ Aisle clearance, the 32" outside leg span must be accommodated in the operating aisle. Verify aisle width and rack upright clearance before ordering the straddle fork model.

♦ Fork span adjustment: Set the adjustable fork span to match the pallet entry opening and load footprint. The span adjusts up to 25" inside width.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Warehouse Rack Loading at 56" to 76" Heights: warehouse operations load 1,000 lb palletized goods into rack positions at heights of 56" to 76" and use the Wesco straddle fork stacker as a manual hydraulic alternative for low-frequency rack loading tasks.

♦ Pallet Stacking in Storage Areas: stockroom and warehouse operations; stacking loaded or empty pallets for storage. Use the straddle fork stacker for stable, controlled manual lifting, with the straddle legs providing lateral support during the stacking cycle.

♦ Production and Staging Pallet Positioning: in production and staging areas, position palletized materials at elevated work positions; use the straddle stacker for reliable manual hydraulic lift, with the safety screen engaged during each lift cycle.

♦ Shipping and Receiving Pallet Handling: shipping and receiving areas handle inbound and outbound pallets at elevated staging positions; use the straddle fork stacker for controlled manual lifting without powered equipment for lower-frequency handling tasks.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Wesco straddle fork hydraulic stacker used for?
The Wesco straddle fork hydraulic stacker is a manual lifting solution designed to stack, transport, and position palletized loads in industrial environments. It is ideal for light-duty pallet handling where forklifts may not be necessary. The straddle fork design allows the unit to handle a wider variety of pallet sizes and configurations. This makes it a practical choice for ergonomic and versatile material handling.
How does the straddle fork design improve pallet handling flexibility?
Straddle forks provide additional clearance and stability, enabling the stacker to handle pallets that may not fit standard forks. This design improves load access and makes positioning easier across various handling situations. It also helps distribute weight more evenly during lifting. The result is safer, more adaptable pallet movement in daily operations.
How does this hydraulic stacker support ergonomic lifting?
By raising loads to a comfortable working height, the stacker reduces bending, reaching, and manual strain. Operators can handle palletized materials more safely and with better posture. The hydraulic lift mechanism provides smooth elevation with minimal physical effort. Ergonomic lifting improves comfort and productivity throughout the workday.
Where does the Wesco straddle stacker perform best?
This stacker performs well in warehouses, production plants, stockrooms, and shipping areas where light-duty stacking and positioning are needed. It is especially useful in tight aisles or confined spaces where forklifts are not practical. The straddle design also makes it a strong fit for facilities handling different pallet styles. Any operation needing reliable manual stacking versatility can benefit from this equipment.
How does the stacker improve workflow efficiency and precision?
The manual hydraulic lift allows operators to raise loads gradually and position them accurately. This improves safety and control when stacking or feeding materials into workstations. Keeping loads accessible reduces wasted motion and supports smoother material flow. Over time, these benefits contribute to better organization and consistent productivity.
